X-Men: First Class

Opens today across the US. I'm going this evening I think - I'll post up with thumbs up or down later. Previews look awesome! Theres a long free preview on the dashboard/zune, check it out. Also, every Hulu commercial lately has been X-Men.

They are saying "better than Dark Knight"as the advertising pitch. That's a lot of disappointment if it's not because DK was the greatest in many years.
Probably good, but I'll wait to see if it's better than DK!

Agreed , dark knight is in my top ten of best movies ever ! I don't think it will be better then dark knight,
Now they also say " best x men movie " which I might believe, and that might be like saying raiders (#1 on my list) is the best Indiana jones movie if they came out backwards.

I have my doubts about that. Probably a great movie but when the original had so many big name actors it'll be hard for this one to stand up.

Big name actors can be distracting but an unknown might be more believable in a role. A lot of the characters will be young, and I'm glad it won't be shia lebeuff as magneto or something. You still have some stars like Kevin Bacon, though he hasn't been in much in a long time.
