I didn't get around to preordering, and I probably won't rush out to buy it (still playing New Vegas right now) but looking forward to diving into this one when I can.

Everybody is going marathon on it to get the quality time in before Homefront comes out tomorrow- LOL. I will probably have to wait and get it later myself. I still want to play the first one too.

Yeah, TBH I was going to wait, get it from GF and then buy it "used" for a discount. But there I was in Walmart just sort of browsing. I had just finished Bulletstorm so I was looking for something new to play and my impulses got the best of me. Ended up walking out with the game. Truth be told I have plenty to play right now, especially with Homefront and Crysis coming out back to back.
I just couldn't help myself.
Fortunately, it is a very good game so far and I can't wait to play more.

Re: dragon age 2
This is a great game. Interseptor, as far as game play, I think Bioware learned a few lessons when upgrading from Mass Effect 1 to 2, and used similar "streamlining". For example, you upgrade your companion's armor level but not the outfit itself. That way you don't get distracted by irrelevant details.
This whole game feels streamlined form the last game (which I loved as well). I also like the way they "chunked" missions--Main, companion, secondary, etc. really works. None of the missions are super long like in the first one where poor Glock is still stuck in the fade. This provides for faster, smoother game play.

Oh my goodness Epic win just finished the game and all I can say is it blew my mind at how good this game was and as long as it was I did not want it to end. I will definetly be going back to play this over again. So win can't wait for DLC

Re: dragon age 2
lol forgot about that - that was a challenge the first time, switching areas with the pedestals a bunch til you get all the abilities to escape the fade - that level though gave a ton of bonus points to your attributes.S7 Jwriter wrote: like in the first one where poor Glock is still stuck in the fade. Surprised anyone finished that quick - did you do the side missions? Origins took me a long time when I tried to do every side mission first - is DA2 that short or is it just less time F'ing around with armor and enchantments?

Re: dragon age 2
It's definitely not short. I'm still working my way through...just not with all-nighters like OC and Sticky. I'm almost finished though. I've got two other characters started though...up to getting into Kirkwall. It's an achievement.
I think I've done almost every side mission. I know I've missed one with Fenris, and I won't get later ones with Merril, because of decisions I made with her in Act 2. She kinds freaks me out!
Also, whether or not you played DA Awakening all the way through (or select the default DA:Origins back story where the hero sacrifices himself) will depend on if you get side missions regarding a certain character who I will not name.
