razer making headset

was looking around for a new head set when i came across an article saying razer will have a wireless gaming headset for xbox 360 coming out this year

It will still be tethered to the controller I think there is something with microsoft there not allowing for other wireless mics wich is gay

I'm fairly sure there is a wireless version coming. It'll probably use the same 2.4ghz as the controllers, either that or a USB dongle, though the latter seems the least likely of the two.

Onza is available for pre-order, so it shouldn't be too much longer. Late feb/early march.

Razer stuff is top notch...not that i'm biased sat here with my Razer mouse and gaming surface.

Razer makes great mice. I have a rocketfish surface that I love. I'll never go away from Saitek for keyboards though. These babies are beast.

Cool and Sticky Trittons are not gay...they work great!

Tbh, I love the keyboard on my MBP. It would take one hell of a kb to pull me away from apple keyboards. I know the Razer ones have the mechanical buttons but I don't think they'd improve my game too much. Macro keys would be cool though.

tritton b4 madcats took over yes i would have to agree with you thats why i was going to get away from my turtle beach's but i have used alot of mad cats products and for some one that will use this thing a sh1t load mad cats would fail way to much to be worth it for me.even my turtle have giving out alot mostly just the wire going from the headset to the controller(which was a free fix from turtle ) and like now were some times it sound like every one is a robot lol but then ill i have to do is hit them alittle on the side and it fixes itself.

plus the fact that there are way to many wires on the trittons ! i like to get up move around and still be hooked in and ready to pwn

Think I am gonna get a new surround sound system instead but I have thought about getting headset for a while now. Just to get that sharp directional sound (and not have people complain about my system being too loud over the ear piece LOL).

May be time for me to upgrade from my Microsoft wireless... this may be the one. Need a 4th controller too, so maybe I'll pick up both - would be cool if they were bundled.

After reading that I'll defiantly will be getting the controller...the Headphones I'll have to wait on not in a hurry. I love PC based products because of its precision and feel.

My only problem with the controller is that it's wired. I am just too spoiled to wireless to go back now.

I'm not so sure about the precision part, but quicker response time, Yes. Like I said, I am just spoiled (and sit too far away from the box).

It's a 15 foot cord...wired=no lag...and I'm getting the tournament edition. They have 2 versions of it.

One more thing the Headphones are VIRTUAL surround sound = fake...trittons have 4 speakers in each ear cup. Oh yeah one more thing here are some PC headphones that are sick, real 5.1 and they are making them for the 360 too.

No, if you read the original post, they have true 5.1 surround sound version for $199 and a fake 2.1 version for $129. They just haven't updated their website yet.

The website still hasn't been updated, but the 5.1 channel surround sound headset ($199.99) should be more widely available to purchase soon. Also, a 2.1 version will be on sale for $129.99, rocking a fairly similar design and charging station.

I don't sit to far from my tv and would not be hindered to much by a wired controller and am probably going to buy the tournament edition.

Awww poopy pants<----reference to me...anyway check out those headphones on the website I provided. I been eyeing those for a while hoping they make some for xbox. They are a more authentic surround sound experience, directional sounds are very accurate and they will be 199.99...just youtube them for reviews or check their website out. They will have a wireless version too.
