I made a quick attempt with photoshop for my current signature. Can someone tell me what you think of it, and where I can improve? I'm really trying to learn the ins and outs of photoshop so feedback would be helpful!

Pretty good for a start. When I started he guys suggested putting a 1-2 pixel border around the edge. Also, possibly try some type of pattern or gradient for the background. I'm checking this on my phone so if used any of those suggestions and I missed them I'm sorry.

I took your advice SockPuppet, I think it's starting to look better! Keep the feedback coming though, I know there plenty of room for improvement.

My advice would be learn a few cool 'techniques' that you think look good.
Best way to find them, go to goodtutorials.com and look at some of the sigs.
Then just find something you think is cool and practice it on a few sigs, try mixing it in with other styles, and see what you like.
Right now your sig has all the basics (Border, readable text, focal point, less emphasized background) now you just get to work on style.

For now basic tip:
-Make it shorter. It might just be me but right now it seems pretty big on the forums (tall at least). This might just be because of the raptr sig below it. Put them side by side maybe?

Lol, think of it as you inspired me to make some sigs again!
Also, I'd advise going back through this thread and checking out the stuff other people have posted. Some really cool sigs have come through here.

Also: always put your sig in a post. If you change to a different sig and people come back to look here you'll want some kind of link.

Wicked! if you run out of stuff to design pimp out a S7 logo to use on prizes we have 2 great games that are gonna have some tourneys, so ya could make a standard logo and make some game themed pics, prob just have to watch copyright stuff

I can probably do some of that. No worries about copyrights, Creative Commons covers anything we do on here, unless we start selling them for $$ Laughing

I've tried making a slick S7 logo a few times but might need to rethink how to go about it. I'll do some sketches today.

This was completely made using Photoshop Touch on the iPad mini. I collected the art, edited, layered, effects, uploaded and everything using only my iPad mini. Mostly to test what all I could do but I was very please with the results.

I was impressed myself. Especially considering it costs $10 and it dose most everything a full PC version can do. The more I dig into it the more impressed I get. And frankly, the only thing I really use a PC anymore is to use Photoshop. Now I am not sure I need a PC at all.

EDIT: FYI - You can transfer files to a PC/Mac and open it with real Photoshop with all layers intact if needed. (And vice versa.)
