Three new Forza Trophies I made for the Overall winners of the Various Forza Series. They have been updated in the Forza Trophy Case as well.

Re: Official "Show off your new Sig" Thread
Is that your own render? If so, not too bad for a newbie.
Could use a pixel border, everything looks better with a pixel border and it's easy to do, so make sure you learn how to do that. Great technique to know.
The BG could use a bit of depth, or at least a light gradient on it, so it's not just flat white.
I know it's the S7 font but stylistically, not the most fitting but tbh, I find text to be the hardest part of a sig to nail, so that will come with time.
Overall though, a decent first sig.

Re: Official "Show off your new Sig" Thread
^ Agree with epic. Text is always hard and everyone has different tastes.
For the easiest border in Photoshop just:
ctrl + shift + n = create new layer
ctrl + a = select all
edit - stroke = creates a border around the edges. You can choose the color (black is the easiest to start with) and the thickness. Usually 2-6 pixels is the normal. You can always mix it up though.
An easy way to edit the border color:
ctrl + u = brings up the hue/saturation panel. Just click "colorize" in the bottom right and you can freely adjust the color of the border.

Re: Official "Show off your new Sig" Thread
Thanks for the advice guys. The car wasn't my rendering, I did a cut and paste job. Also, I don't have Photoshop so I did the whole thing the slow way with MS Paint, since I don't have Photoshop. I did find this free program called Gnu Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) that seems to be comparable to Photoshop and it's free. I'm going to try tooling around in it and see what I can do.

Re: Official "Show off your new Sig" Thread
Yeah, GIMP does a lot of what PS can do. Not sure if the shortcuts are the same.

1px is where its at.
Sometimes, however, it's nice to do a 3px, then a 2px, then a 1px, with the 3 & 1 being (usually) black and the 2px a colour to tie into the sig.
I think i'll get back in to the sig game soon....show you all how it's done, lol.

Re: Official "Show off your new Sig" Thread
Lol I've always been a fan of doing 1px 1px 1px with the first and last being invisible and the middle black.

I see that 450x200 is the correct size per the site guidelines so I'll have to change to that. I hadn't really been interested in designing my own sigs until recently, so I hadn't read that post until today.

Re: Official "Show off your new Sig" Thread
Looking good so far, I use gimp from my sigs also, it takes time to learn how to use it, but the more you mess around with the better you get, tips make sure all your windows are open, the one with the layers, sometimes closes, paste as layers, work with brushes , gradients, and lighting effects, do the background first, and for cool looking text , check out cooltext.com

We don't have a standard size, the 450x200 is just the maximum size. Personally, I favour sigs nearing a ~3:1 width to height ratio such as 300x110, 350x120, etc.
