Blockbuster Mail Service
Blockbuster is now offering Video Games through their mail service at no addition cost! That's right, Games and Movies for $8.99 a month! Seems like a great deal. Anyone here use Blockbuster? I'd love to hear how they compare to GF. I have been very happy with my GF account, buying used games and keeping rentals as well as the discounts etc... I would not want to drop my account unless Blockbuster was similar.
Of course $8.99 vs $22.95 is a big difference. Thoughts?

Re: Blockbuster Mail Service
I have the Blockbuster 3x total access acct (along with Netflix 3x) and they are just as good as Netflix is in the mail order department. Plus, with total access I don’t mail the discs back, I trade them in at the store for another movie, and then they mail me the next from my list. That’s cool, as me and the family can actually go in and browse for something we want to watch, and not be restricted in just what we already have at the house. Of course they do not have the “watch instantly “ (well they do, but it’s pay-per view online rentals an not like Netflix’s one price option) which sets Netflix above the rest.
I haven’t tried the games yet (that just went live today) but will soon, so I'm not sure if they have the 'rent to own" policy of purchasing rented games. It doesn’t look like you can trade the games in at the store for another game, but you can trade for another movie, including BluRay. BTW- there is no premium cost for Blu over regular DVD’s (or games now) in their online plans.

Sounds cool - no streaming is a bummer, but access to BluRay is a plus. I don't have GF. I have Netflix and am very happy with the streaming but not so much with the deliveries - I've received a few bad discs in a row now. If Netflix ever starts doing games it would be incredible.
Blockbuster already had a "Game Rush" plan where you trade in as often as you want and keep one or two games out at a time. Do you know if this is seperate or an extension of that?

This is separate, an expansion of the online rental service.
