S7 Forza 3 F-Class Tourney

That's right! It's time for the first ever S7 Forza 3 Tourney. Time to separate the men from the boys and see who has what it take to win it all. This is the first in a series of Tourneys, each one class specific. This time we are taking on F-Class! Drivers will have 2-weeks to build, tune and test their cars, at which point we will meet up and see who has what it takes to win the gold.

Here are the details:

Date: Thursday, April 1, 2010
Time: The Races start at 9:00pm sharp (start showing up around 8:30pm) Eastern Time
Car Class: F-Class
Damage: Simulation
Collisions: Default
Starting Grid: Random
Tracks: TBA
# of Races: 5
# of Laps: 3-5 (depending on track length)

S7 Members ONLY!

The winner will be decided by points base on where you finish each track. The person with the most points will be our first ever Forza Champion!

Oh I'm definitely down. I am actually going to probably build an F-Class over the next few days. I really don't have much built in the lower classes. Should be a lot of fun.

are we gonna get a track list before hand so we know what to be prepare for... or just the complete list of possible tracks and laps that the 5 will be selected from?

Are we only allowed to use 1 F-class car or multiple just so I know to make more than 1 or not lol.

if we end up with more than 8 that wanna race.... is it first come first serve or are we gonna base it on Forza night attendance or something?

i think it would be a shame if a regular gets left out when someone comes outta the wood work... but i'm sure as we get closer those people will be weeded out

I have decided that if we have more than eight people show up than we will have a qualifying race. Everyone will get to race 2 laps (in ghost mode). The top 8 times will qualify for the Tourney. Track will be determined on the day of the race, if needed.

and will that be fast lap or complete race time?

IMPORTANT!

Registration: Cut off time for Tourney Registration will be 8:30pm
Eastern. If you are not online and present for registration, you will not be able to participate.

Qualifying: Qualifying laps will start at 8:45pm. Qualifying laps
will take place on a random map chosen just before the race. The race
will be 2 Laps on Ghost Mode and the Top 8 Total Race Times will
advance (not fastest laps)

Note: If you arrive after Registration but before Qualifying, it may still be possible to get you into the Tourney but is not guaranteed. To be sure you are eligible to race, please show no later than 8:30pm. Thank you.

if everyone shows... this may be a problem... im definatly down for an F tourney

most likely everyone will show as it's been having a good showing at JFF so get ready for Qualifiers lol

REMINDER: The Tourney is this Thursday (4/1/10). Only 4 days left to trick and tune your rides.

NOTE (Please Read): In order to keep everything fair, I have decided to randomly pick the tracks on the day of the event. Not even I will know what tracks we are going to use. Basically, we are going to take all the short tracks and assign them a number. Then run a random number generator to find the five tracks that we will use (the qualifying track will be chosen the same way, at the same time).

Why? Well, I don't want anyone to have an unfair advantage. Knowing the tracks beforehand would allow some people an unfair advantage. Some of our members have more free time than others and could practice non-stop on just those tracks while others would show up and race them for the first time. I also want to avoid people going to the marketplace and buying cars/tuning setups made for specific tracks.

Basically, I want everyone to be on the same even playing field.

And maybe most importantly, remember to have fun! This is just a game and this is all about coming together and having fun. Accidents will happen and I want to win as much as the next guy but if we lose sight of what's really important we might as well not show up. I want to see good clean racing and good sportsmanship at all time.

Members not upholding these traits may be asked to leave tourney and forfeit their standing.
