Re: Music...what are you listening to?
So me and the wife went to the Georgia Theatre to catch some Blackberry Smoke Thursday night. I had heard of this band before but never really paid attention, (they toured with Zac Brown band last summer.)
Some people might compare them to Skynyrd but I think that is pretty unfair as no southern rock band can live up to 70's Skynyrd. I think they sound much closer to the Black Crowes except these guys don't suck live. Matter of fact they are much better live.
Any way this was recorded a while back at the same venue...

Re: Music...what are you listening to?
Yeah, not everyone does. I totally dig the 70's sound they have going on in this album. The 2nd album was hit and miss song to song, and the 1st one was amazing and still is. I just hope they don't go they way of Linkin Park, reinventing their sound on every album, until the original fans are ostracized, and the mainstream gobbles it up like a pack starving dogs devouring a butter basted turkey. But you get what you get.

Doesn't really matter what you're listening to... but Spotify is the greatest.
They finally made their mobile app free, and I really do love it

Re: Music...what are you listening to?
Started listening to some of my old MP3 CDs in my truck and am currently listening to my Punk & Ska disc. All of it is 90s bands and songs from my freshman year of college. Here's the lineup of what I'm listening to:
Goldfinger, Blink 182, Pulley, Lagwagon, Face to Face, Social Distortion, Unwritten Law, Fenix TX, Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies, Offspring, Pennywise, Reel Big Fish, Ten Foot Pole
I've got a lot of covers (Ring of Fire, Seasons in the Sun, Rocketman and more) and a ton more of their original stuff. All in all, some really great tunes to break up the monotony of my drive.

I've been listening to the new 311 CD stereolithic that came out on 3/11. Been loving it. If you're into 311 amazon has the digital copy for $7.99 and best buy has the hard copy for $9.99.

I know this was posted a while ago... but during the process of moving into my new house, I came across all my old music as well... Been listening to all my old CDs in the car... feels just like college.
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake...
Then I realized some of my favorite CD's from college (Fivespeed, Faktion, Autopilot Off) were all bands I came across... then they broke up...
It's been great to listen to some things I had forgotten about.
Re: Music...what are you listening to?
Bosstones and Less Than Jake are some good music.
