Division Alpha

Got my invite code for the division alpha. Starts Dec 9

I haven't received JACK!
Or at least didn't see it in my email. Did you receive the message that you were good via email from Ubisoft or on the console message system?

Also, did you preorder? If you did, that may explain why you have Alpha access. I didn't preorder in case that makes a difference.

You MUST preorder to gain access. However found another nice nugget on the website:

After redeeming your code, you will be asked if you want to invite friends! Why should you do this?
Tom Clancy’s The Division can be played solo or with a team. If you would like to try the beta out with your friends, you can input their email addresses and we will send them a personalized invitation on your behalf to register for the beta! Rest assured we will not email your friends beyond this invitation unless they choose to sign up, nor will we share their email addresses with any partners or third parties.

Lol  I try when I get out of work. I did preorder from Amazon just for beta access but I guess there is an alpha as well.

Soooo, if anybody wants to send an invite to huskertom@gmail.com that would be cool, lol.  I don't plan on pre-ordering this so it would be cool to check it out a little bit.

Nice! I haven't kept on this at all since the initial announcement ages ago. Hope it's good!

The trailers I've seen look pretty sweet. Definitely something that has come back on my radar.

That's what I mean. But just a friendly reminder from your neighborhood Klown--be warned, I can see you on the xbox one console in party w/OC playing the Division Beta.
If a select group is all offline at the same time during the Beta time period to prevent this knowledge, it's also a very telling thing. I'll be watching.

Lol! That's always my favorite. Not specific to this clan, but I have some RL friends who will want to keep doing 4v4s in Halo - rather than just drop a message they'll suddenly all go offline.

Yeah I realize that but he can say how cool it was, or if it's not what he thought it would be. How fluid the movements are, how difficult it is to aim in from afar...something.
For instance I thought R6 Siege would be passable, until I played the demo and was like NOPE!

Ok sorry to keep you waiting Klown. I didn't play it a ton but it was ok. Think R6 cover and gun play with free roamishness of Watch Dogs with some dog elements (gun mods,clothing....)The missions were limited and simple for the most part. The dark zone wasnt available till level 8 I only got to 5 before the draw of cod and fallout became to strong. There is going to be a beta so I'm going to hold off on my opinion to buy or not. I hope some of you get into the beta as co-op is suppose to be a large part of the game.

You going to pick it up for PS4? From the feedback it doesn't sound like many, if any, of the XB1 crew will be getting this, but there's at least 4-5 of us on PS4 that have it preordered.

Could be a good one for the clan, with everyone sharing builds and strategies. Sort of like Destiny and to some degree Fallout.

I appreciate the slight attack and apologize for thinking that based on the less than stellar reviews the XB1 crew gave the game and past history of being almost exclusively focused on COD and Halo (there is some initial interest in other shooters like BF4 and Destiny) that this wouldn't have a big draw on XB1.  Sounds like it should have a good group to play with. As for the "blinders", I typically prefer different games than you and OC so I took that into consideration when reading your reviews.
