Raid Gear Grind - It can leave you feeling so unsatisfied
Came across this article in Polygon:
http://www.polygon.com/2015/10/1/9433965/destiny-loot-exotics
It talks about how the current raid drop system for TTK can be a bit broken. While the highest non-raid drops are LL 300 with copies at LL 290 (excluding the soon to be patched Black Spindle), raid gear drops at LL 300-310.
Now, if you don't get pwned by RNG, you'll probably average a couple items (some combo of weaps and gear) that probably aren't all LL 300. However, you could end up with only an item or so and your loot could end up all LL 300, unlikely but possible.
The real trash can be in some of the garbage perks that are offered. Y2 gear has gone the route of making the perks more specific and sometimes they're downright useless. The author mentions bullshit perks like additional fusion rifle ammo or quicker melee energy refill, both of which are very useful in a raid.
Long story short, while Y2 seems to have fixed a lot of things in Destiny, people may still grind the raid in hopes of getting solid gear, only to be rewarded with crap that's only use is infusing non-raid gear.

I don't care if it's stuff I use. All I want is to hit 300 with the stuff I do use. If it's only stuff I use to infuse other things then that's fine. What worries me is that it's going to turn into what it was in the vanilla game where my RNG was so bad that I had to run the raid for months just to get a few pieces to improve. That's not happening this time.

This is my concern too. The author mentioned running the raid like 3 times and he got like 3-5 items (not bad) but it sounds like a couple of them might have been duds. However, worst-case scenario they become infusing mats for non-raid gear. It's just disappointing to know that.
