That such a funny example. If I had a group to play S&D and we got on every day, it would make the game 100x more fun lol

Re: Rainbow Six technical test
Glock and myself played quite a bit last night! I like it, its not near the run and gun first shooter type of game i'm used to. You have to sit back, think strategy, clear rooms, smoke/flash barge in. If we had a group of 5 or 6 last night it would have been better to have everyone communicating. But we still had fun. Some of the way they have your player lay and move make me laugh, but i've overall enjoyed it so far.

I didn't get to hit the technical test but I might test my beta code on vacation this week.

Re: Rainbow Six technical test
Had a blast playing the beta last night and it was just like how I remember the PC version from '98/'99 that I played for hours. Â I pretty much only played Terrorist Hunt, but I did try the 5v5 bomb game and that was good too. Â The feel of the game is more like playing GR:FS (as it should be), so it's a definite refresher from other military FPS like Battlefield and COD. Â
The team version of Terrorist Hunt is pretty rough with no mic bros, but I eventually got in with a group of 4 other guys and we were doing a great job of planning roles and which operator everyone was taking so we had a good mix of nades and charges. Â We ended up playing for a couple hours and I've got some new friends to roll this with in the future.
The game rotated through about 3-4 different maps and each map has its own challenges and usually 3 different levels to assault from. Â If all players agreed, you could replay the previous map, which was fun if you wanted to tweak a strategies on simultaneous runs. Â The AI is pretty solid, although sometimes it seems like they turn a corner and kill by very accurately "blind firing" at you. Â Aside from that, they put out bombs, install barricades on windows and doors and they spread out barbed wire, all of which can be disabled but they require time and you make noise that can alert the enemy. Â
The only "gripe" I had was there wasn't a lot of customization on the "Recruit" (generic) operator and two players couldn't play the same named/premade operator at the same time. Â For the recruit, you can pick weaps, nades, and gadget/charge, but you can't add any weapon attachments. Â When dealing with the operators, you have a lot of flexibility for weapon loadout, but if you put all of your points into one operator and someone else picks them before you, you're then stuck with the generic operators. Â
Overall, I really liked the game and am curious to see if there's other game modes. Â I didn't try terrorist hunt as a lonewolf, but I might if I can get some silencers and attachments unlocked for my guns. Â I'll probably pick this up at some point, even if none of the other PS4 bros get it because I had a good time even when I was playing with ransoms that didn't communicate.

I did run one wolf on terrorist hunt and it was almost as good as running a group, but definitely better than running a group that doesn't communicate.

Re: Rainbow Six technical test
My brother had an extra code that he gave me and we were playing terrorist hunt for awhile last night. Was pretty fun, but I am kind of worried about repetitiveness. Definitely a game that would be great if you have people to play with since you really need communication to be successful.

Re: Rainbow Six technical test
Well what do I say here? I'll just keep it short.
I'm really sad that this game plays the way it does. I was in love with 'Rainbow' since 1998. Rainbow 6 Vegas didn't come out until 2008. I'd been playing for 10 years already so I'm not saying I like one game! I loved the complete genre of Rainbow (rogue spear, raven shield, lone wolf, iron wraith, lockdown, etc.) But, I'm not loving this.

Re: Rainbow Six technical test
I wasn't a super fan of being indoors the whole time. I like bushes and trees and dirt. Too many corner camping options. Especially in Multiplayer. Still a pretty fun game, i do like clearing rooms and being more official than COD where we storm the room, get hit till we are red and get some OP gun to kill everyone. lol

Ended up getting a couple codes but by then I was too busy to try it out. What is the overall consensus?

Re: Rainbow Six technical test
I really liked the game. Played probably 8-10 hours, mostly on the terrorist hunt mode (ran PVP like 2-3 games). Both formats are great. The environments are very destructible and you have to be aware of being shot thru walls, floors, and ceilings. AI is pretty good, although sometimes the seem to blind fire and get really lucky with their kills - that being said it could have been them hearing my footsteps and just "guessing" where I'd be.
Whether or not any of the other PS4 bros get this, I'll probably pick it up for Xmas. It reminded me of playing the original on PC in '98 and I used to play it all the time then.

Re: Rainbow Six technical test
I played several games of solo T-hunt, and it's pretty good. I'm still on the fence as I'll too many other game I want (depending on Battlefront). I'm sure I'll get it before the end of the year, just not sure if I will grab it at launch.

I played = Not Good!
My son played and he loved it.
50/50 I guess, just depends on the individual.
