Vampire or Werewolf which will you choose???

Now that we are all getting to the higher levels the option for being a Vampire or Werewolf is getting closer as we move towards the Rift.
I did learn in Skyrim area lvl 35 BloodFiends are there but do not have the power to turn you into a Vampire, no matter how many times i let them scratch and attack, even let them kill me once. You must be in the lvl 37 BloodFiend spawn, which spawn only during specific moon phases and at specific locations. Same goes for Werewolves.

I'm a Dunmer and have a natural ability to have Flame Resist. Since Vampires have a weakness to Flame attacks, being a Vampire is great for my Race, they basically offset each other on the Flame stuff.

I've read there are some drawbacks of becoming a Vampire. If you don't feed when prompted them you end up becoming a higher stage vampire and some of you abilities and regenerations ware slower and weaker. If i read it correctly. Here is where i got my information

Just wanted to see what you guys were going to be running.

The higher stage vampire levels for not feeding will increase the debuffs, but it also lowers the cost of your vampire abilities making you far more powerful using those.

i am going to be a vampire healer since they have buffs for magic regeneration and so on .

My Bosmer DPS/tank NB will go vampire if I get her high enough but my Orc Tank will go werewolf. Those choices are pretty obvious for them. I went the same route in Skyrim (DPS/assassin = vamp, tank = wolf) and that seemed to work pretty good.

I don't think I will do either. I like the idea of both and played both in SKYRIM but here the debuffs just don't seem worth the effort. And from what I read you can get wrecked in PvP (although that may be old info).

Of the two, Warewolf seems to be the better choice for my character but I'm still not convinced. Anyone here have any real game insight?

i will say this they get vamps get pwned by any fire damage thats for sure
i was using a flame resto staff and still killing vampires like nothing

Luckily for the Dunmer Races, its evens out. No matter what stage you are there's a 50% increase in fire damage.

Dunmer Special Ability
Resist Fire: Your Dunmer blood gives you 50% resistance to fire.

Vampirism Stage One: In the first stage you will take 50% fire damage if hit by any fire abilities, (so steer clear of Dragon Knights, Sorcerers with Fire Staves, Fighters Guild Members, or those with any fire attack abilities), but you are still healthy enough to sneak up behind on most any living-being (who is not too much of higher a level than you), to feed. Once you feed, it will reduce the Vampirism disease back down.

Vampirism Stage Two: In the second stage of Vampirism stage, the Vampire (you) will still take 50% more damage from fire attacks, but now also your health regenerates 25% slower. On the other hand, your magical Vampire abilities cost 20% less to cast. Hurry, go sneak up on some warm-blooded being and get a blood-meal, and you can reduce back down from this stage of Vampirism.

Vampirism Stage Three: Your eyes are very red and you are getting very hungry for blood, and although you will still take 50% damage from enemy fire, but now your own health regenerates 50% slower! However, your Vampirism abilities cost 40% less to cast, so you are not done for yet – avoid fire-yielders and hurry and go feed! Feeding reduces your vampirism stage. This is not a time to diet!

Vampirism Stage Four: Your eyes are glowing and you are starving hungry for blood! You still take 50% more damage from fire attacks, but now on top of that -- Your health regenerates a whopping 75% slower! Although, your Vampirism abilities cost 60% less health to cast, you must hurry and find a victim to sneak up behind and feed upon to get that blood meal to reduce your vampirism or you will be in deep trouble, especially if hit by fire. By all means, stay away from any enemy Fighters Guild Members, Dragon Knights, Sorcerers with Fire Staves, or any and all fire yielders, which can turn you to toast right now! The black rings around your eyes may be noticed even sooner by others now. Be very sneaky, and go FEED ASAP!

One thing that's not clear to me. So lets say i'm a Stage 4. If i keep feeding on time, will i reduce back down to a level 3, then so on and so forth? Cause it does say your vampirism stage reduces.

Not 100% sure how it works in ESO, but in previous Elder Scrolls games feeding dropped you all the way back to stage 1.

This is what I remember from Skyrim and I'd guess it would be the same. And the fire bonus for Dunmer is why I went vamp in Skyrim, since they balanced out. Although, after the first couple times that I let the sickness get me, I pretty much stopped getting out of Stage 1 because I didn't like the negs.

I will probably do werewolf just for the stamina passive regen. I may not do either at all so I can't be targeted by fighters guild abilities. Well, actually I'll probably do both and cure both just to get the achievements first, but if I keep one it will be werewolf.

That brings another question. If you cure yourself can you ever go back and get infected? Sorry i'm new to this part. i never got to it in skryim lol

I'm not 100% on this, but I think yes. And I think you could cure one and get the other too.
