Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Anyone else see it?
I didn't go in expecting anything special. I definitely enjoyed it. I thought the historical black and white style flash backs were a nice touch. Little slow in the middle, but I'd recommend it.

When I saw the preview for this in theaters, I was actually pretty interested by it. Even though the premise seems absolutely ridiculous, I want to see it. Now that you said that you enjoyed the movie, I'll have to go watch it myself and get back to you with my reaction, because I'm not expecting this film to win any emmy's based off of the preview at least.

The more I see trailers for this the more I want to see it. It seems like a mix of Blade and Sherlock Holmes.

Yup, I thought it would be bad. It's actually a good movie. The effects are very impressive. Solid story. Like I said the only downside isn't the vampire hunting, it's the lull in the middle.
Go see it. Don't expect something on the sherlock holmes, avengers, etc level, but it is worth watching for sure.
Also, I thought the 3D was pretty solid. Not overdone or ridiculous "ahh things flying at you", moreso just adding a little depth.
