What Bucket Size Should We Compete In?
What Bucket Should We Play In?
I want to start a discussion and get a feeling for what bucket every one wants to compete in moving forward. Our two options are either 5-10 or 11-19. There are pros and cons to both, lets use this forum to discuss.

Re: What Bucket Should We Play In?
I would say Keep it small and rotate people out if need be
we did so well in the bracket size and should be getting alot of points into are ranking i would hate to see it lost when jumping up to a big bracket.
Also yeah 11-19 people would be nice but their is NO way we can fill a 19 person bracket making us down alot of people and we will run into other clans who are running more people in the same bracket and will almost always make us lose.
with the drop in practice attendance and the lack of reply's to the clan wars roster topic i would say the 5-10 bracket is the BEST place for are clan.
This is the ONE thing are clan does Competitively it should be treated as such. this last war we still had members get on and want to try and help out when we needed to fill a spot and they did not mind there wins were not counting they just wanted to help us out still, thats the kinds of support i like . and like so many of us have said before a few of us have max all the armor we can get out of a war and fewer have been in very war since the start and would not mind sitting out a war or two if some other member would really like into the roster for that war.
in a nut shell this is what i think
- Stricter rules as far as time played (2 day war need to be there more then 50% of the war thats to much time lost)
- Bracket size should remain the 5-10 (that is the best for are clan as of now)
- If need be rotate people out and in

I think we should stay in the smaller bucket. 19 is going to be hard to get. I wish we could have 19+ active but we don't 10-15 would have been perfect but that's not an option.

5-10, from past experience it seems like a nice fit. I'll be more active with the wars and practice again, I just needed a break for a bit.

Re: What Bucket Should We Play In?
Also, we need to think a bit different on the team aspect of scoring. As we noticed on Friday, one random can really hurt you. We need teams of 6 no matter what the "on the roster" says. So you score 4 or 5 "points" a match, it takes the team of 6 to pull out the wins. Kind of like the Running back that scores 6 points but couldn't have done it without his blockers. So even at 5-10, we really need 12 active the entire war.
Also, the way the scoring works, we really will need the 10 "scorers" there the entire time if we run that bracket. The small runs are 9 points, so that is two games to open and two to cap for 4 total wins. That works out just the same with 9 players, but with 8 that is one more game to open and one more to win making it 6 games vs. 4. The big runs are 19 points. With 10 people (5 and 5) that is 4 games to open and 4 games to cap for 8 games, but with only 8 or 9 that moves up to 5 games to open and 5 games to cap for a total of 10 games. Being just one shy of the 10 limit can cost you a lot of extra games and precious time.

5-10
With our core of active players, (I am including myself again, its going to be hard to get rid of me now!!) We should always have a solid team of 10 able to get online. Any additional people unable to be online 75% of the time can rotate out of the 2 slots available for benched players.

Even if I am not on the roster I would be willing to fill one of the empty slots so it's not a random.
