Project Cars: Who's getting this one? Empty Project Cars: Who's getting this one?

Since Forza Motorsports 5 felt like a let down to most and Project Cars is looking better and better every time there's a new video, lets see where the most track time will be spent.

I can't wait for Project Cars.  It really does look better and better every time I see it.  Sign me up for the PS4 edition!

I'll be waiting for more info on the career mode and some stuff that really let me down with Forza 5.  As of now it won't be a day one purchase but if the reviews and/or information is good enough I'll get it.  I'm just very apprehensive about racing games at this point.  They aren't progressing ahead like I think they should be.

What are you looking for that has been missing?  I know I wanted day/night and weather.  Both of which are here in CARS.  Career mode was always a means to an end for me.  Something to play to get money, learn track and buy cars.  Once I feel good enough, I head online usually.

Which is also part of the issue for me.  With Forza 4 we were all on one console, everybody playing together.  Now it's split and I don't see many people playing Project CARS on the Xbox One.  You and Lickwid Apex are two of the top drivers here and you'll both be playing on the PS4.  There's not a lot of incentive for me to want to play when I know there won't be season races, etc. on the Xbox One...and I'm not interested in it enough to want to spend time finding new people to play with constantly.  Playing with randoms was the entire reason I stopped playing Forza 5 and I won't do it again on this game.  Chances are that I'd get through the career and be done with the game.  I'm not sure that's enough to justify buying it.  We'll see.

I'll be getting project cars for sure. I'm hoping it lives up to all the hype it's created over the years.

Apex, if this game turns out to not be amazing, are you going to switch consoles again?  Twisted Evil  Twisted Evil  Twisted Evil

I'll always drool over car porn.  Every time.  Solid racing games are what I enjoy.  Since I met up with you guys its been all about the racing.  Sadly, FM5 let a lot of us down.  I plowed through 750+ levels anyway and made some weak attempts to rally the troops to playing online.

I'm looking forward to white knuckle racing and groaning at my mistakes in the all of the next racing titles.  With most of these new ones hitting both or all platforms I'll likely just stick with the PS4 and my trusty Thrustmaster.  Clutch pedal set are on the way and the shifter should be in around mid September.

Maybe we'll get to do some virtual tourny's with hot laps or something.  We can make it work.

Yeah, FM5 was really a bit underwhelming. I imagine Hot Lap events wouldn't be an issue even cross platform. I just had to give you a bit of a bad time xD

Ain't no thang AtrumX.  What will be interesting will be trading tuning options between consoles and seeing if there is any difference in physics experienced.  We're in an interesting circumstance.

I'm a gamer, your mind tricks don't work on me.

I want to see how the pit stops work...are they merely there to say "look, we have pit stops" or are there races long enough to actually utilize them strategically.  The day/night is awesome.  The weather is awesome.  I guess I just want to see more in depth coverage of the game at this point.  It looks great and sounds great but I want to see proof that what they are saying is actually going to be put into practice.  Keep in mind a lot of my thinking comes from Forza 5 being so underwhelming...even though I knew ahead of time it wouldn't have what Project CARS has.

Anyways, here's a nice video in case you haven't seen it yet.  Love the physics.  Hitting another car actually upsets the car, spinning when hitting the grass and starting off in the dry and ending up in the rain.   It's pretty impressive at this point, but I just want "more" I guess, haha.

CAUTION:  IT'S PRETTY LOUD

Lol. I was thinking the same thing. I imagine the physics will be identical between the platforms. Usually the difference is in what can be rendered in the background.
