Destiny Endgame

I got to level 8 in a few hours so either level 20 is very easy to get to or they greatly decreased the amount of exp required to level up in the beta

They said that leveling was accelerated in the beta.  We just don't know how much exactly.

The biggest hurdle for both consoles will be who gets a team of 6 to the end game in order to attempt it.  Some of us will get there pretty quickly, others will take a lot longer due to RL obligations etc...  And even then, they probably won't have the right gear to complete it.  Should be interesting to see how everyone progresses within the clan.

I'm glad there are almost 6 of you total so you can be effective in this. Maybe we should have a friendly competition/wager to see which console group can accomplish this first, or at all.

There is info here that says raids will have "checkpoints" that the team can stop at and restart from, and you are given a week to complete the raid. That should help if someone has to drop out midway through.

thats a cool  addition  and a big plus !

i hated in wow or Swtor you do these big  16+ man raids and people leave and your  fucked

Nice!  Looks like we'll need to find out (eventually) who's going to be serious about raiding.  If it's anything like WoW we will definitely need a solid group of people to be able to dedicate a significant amount of time to raiding.

Very cool. I'm a big noob and have never played any mmo or game like this so I am excited for this game. I know I could very well have it's issues with limited story and endgame but I'm still pumpped.

The cool thing with stuff like this is that you'll still get 99% of what everybody else does even if you never do a raid.  Normally they are for the "hardcore" but it all depends on how hard Bungie wants their raids to really be.  Chances are the "average" player won't be getting anywhere near finishing raids when they first come out (if ever).  They're no joke and require a serious amount of time and skill to be completed.  They'll most likely require finely tuned builds using proper elements on weapons.

With that said they can be incredibly fun and can make for some great times...and by the time we get anywhere near raiding none of us will be noobs at the game. By that time you'll know what builds work well against what enemy sheilds, etc.  Plus there will be plenty of Youtube videos out with walkthroughs from clans that are built specifically for raiding whose sole purpose in the game will be to finish raids ASAP.

Personally, I don't care if we're hardcore raiders but I would definitely like to be to the point that we can complete them, even if it takes us longer than others.

Yeah, me too!  I can't wait to see how this endgame works out.  I have never played an MMO through to the endgame so I don't really know what to expect here. I hope it's as hard and challenging as we think it's going to be.

I'll definitely be there for the raids, so excited!
