Intra = within or inside 
Inter (or inner) = between or among 


Examples: 
Intra-family discussions would mean discussions you have within your own family 


Inter-family discussions would mean discussions one family has with another family


So to say:
intra-clan, would mean members within the clan 
inter-clan, would mean our clan vs another
