I started lvling my DK as a FIRE BREATHING FOOL...then at about lvl 15 we noticed we didnt have too many folks rolling healers...so for the last 3 lvls i've been putting points into resto using skyshard points and lvling points....

it's a sick combo! love healing in this game and if i have to swap over to destro...chain yank some fool into our group and that's all she wrote!

I threw a post up under PC gaming for a list of usernames. Added Bonz, can't remember Evol's off hand, but post it there (or I'll look it up tonight).

So is it like previous ES games where you can wander around and find cool enemies and loot or more linear?

I've only played for a few hours so far, but the cool events (big visual events, etc) are based on quests your assigned. Really not too far from the other ES games. I know it's similar because I find myself obsessively checking every drawer/chest I find in a house to see what's in there xD

That being said, don't expect it to play like skyrim or oblivion. So far it's just like any other MMO, just in an ES setting with the same general skills/weapons/armor

I can't speak for ESO, but for MMOs typically there are zones which you must reach a certain level threshold if you wish to survive against monsters or other players in that zone.  With Skyrim, you could go wherever and whenever you wanted.  With an MMO, you can't really do that until you've reached a maximum level and start obtaining your end-game gear.  In a way, it's more linear because you need to travel to one zone, do the quests there, and then travel to the next zone once you reached a high enough level... and repeat the procress to level up.  I'm assuming that ESO follows this standard approach for MMOs.

I haven't wandered far enough to hit anything too difficult, but it does seem to be the approach. Which, oddly enough, is more true to ES than the newer games (oblivion/skyrim). I remember wandering around Morrowind and just getting murdered because I went the wrong way. Kinda makes the game more fun not having everything scale with you, IMO
