Good call, I've been sitting on a bunch of money since the rewards update might as well keep it a little longer

Thanks for the link Husker. Also, we need to get an informal fun tourney going for one of these weekend nights soon.

How's tonight lookin' for everyone that has FM5? I'm probably going to be on around 10~11pm central time. Maybe I'll see some of you guys on.

I'll be on, but I might be playing lots of BF4 if the patch that came out today works. If you see me playing some Forza 5 feel free to shoot me an invite.

Would like to get some opinions on this here....
Thinking hard about getting Forza 5 after playing at a friends house over the weekend. I noticed (and was told by him) how hard it is now to have the good cars. My question is how does everyone feel about the micro transactions in this version. Seems to me Turn 10 has become a bit greedy and requiring you to pay and pay and pay even after you've paid $60 for the full game. You have less cars and less tracks-- but they hide the few good ones behind pay walls and expect you to pay to play (instead of making it easier to play and upgrade your cars based on skill like the old days). Mixed feelings one this one. May leave it on the shelf and grab NFS or something. I heard NFS has over 1200+ cars. Graphics may not be the same, but they aren't charging an arm & leg just to drive a Ferrari in a virtual simulator either.
BTW, NFS also has rain and night driving, something I didn't see on Forza.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. You don't have to pay anymore than the $60 for the game if you don't want to.

Doesn't seem that way Xpert. I admit, there's also this:

Admittedly, this is making me think really hard. Driving the 2015 Mustang in game is something that really interest me beyond words!

So is this about Forza not have the Fords that you want? I'm a bit confused... lol

From my understanding everything in the game can be bought with in-game currency earned from racing. You can choose to buy points with real money to buy cars with. And Forza has their dlc car packs like they had with Forza 4.

Re: Update coming "soon" (Might want to hold off spending on expensive cars for now)
With the new update coming it will be MUCH easier to bankroll and buy cars. You will be earning double what people earn now and car prices are getting slashed across the board. The grinding for cars won't be nearly as pronounced as it is today.
Really comes down to whether or not you want an arcade game or a "sim" game. Neither one is bad, just a matter of what you prefer.
And EVERY car in this game can be bought with credits earned in the game (Unless it's DLC that you don't have, but that's how it's been for a long time).

ok Husker, that being the case I'll think again about Forza.
And Xpert yes, I am seriously into Ford Racing so...maybe. Hopefully the DLC will include a few good Pony cars.

Well, pulled the trigger on NFS today. It's really cool. Guess what, was driving the 2015 Mustang within the first 2 mins of owning the game. Not just joyride but owned!!
Honestly, having more fun playing against the public as a cop instead of as the racer. Surprising, but true. Nothing better than guys online cursing me out for arresting them..LOL

I'll admit, I like the credits flowing like milk and honey. But its too easy now to get cars. I suppose that lets everyone focus on racing more? I dunno.
Re: Update coming "soon" (Might want to hold off spending on expensive cars for now)
I do agree. I just got the game 3 days ago and with every level (at least starting out) you get 35k PER LEVEL. I can buy the most expensive cars after a good weekend of grinding. But I just want a completed game. It just feels like an extended demo right now with the less tracks and other things. I remember tricking out a little Civic like something out of a Fast and Furious movie but they don't even have metallic paint? I would rather have the metallic paint pallet than the wood grain??? wtf is that lol? But I really hope they add at least the same tracks for F4 without having to make me pay for them because they are slackin hard.

Hey Stevo, didn't we chat briefly about getting metallic paints? If not, I can walk you through it on Friday night.
