Just wanted to say the time has come to bury a legend.
No not Mandela, although he was important. I'm talking the original Zune. I had it since 11/14/06.
It died on me yesterday. Fortunately he died doing what he loved. Playing music for me and making me happy.

Thank you old friend. Enjoy the afterlife.

Nooooo! That's like my original Shuffle. I had it from launch day until 3 years ago. Thing was a beast.

How will you replace it?

not sure yet. have any ideas?

You have a smart phone? Use a service like google music or if you have ios use iTunes Match and you can access all your music through the cloud if you have cell or wifi acess.

You can download the Zune Xbox Music app for about anything now and still use the service. I have my original somewhere, but now only use the Zune HD I got off Charles a while back. You can grab a used one of those if you must- the are some great tech, but coming from the original Zune (32 Gig?) you might loose some space.

It was only 30GB. And thanks for the suggestions all.
I didn't have anything of real value on it. Had 1,000+ songs once and formatted it long time ago. Really wish I'd kept a copy of those songs. But right now it just had a few 2013 hits. Maybe time to go iPod?
