Auburn- really?
Is this really a team of destiny, or the luckiest team in the world? Either way, this is crazy and entertaining!

Amazing ending to that game! Probably will never see something like that in that situation again.

Nice play but Hester did it first for the Bears:

Yea, but that kicked a team out of the national championship game and might have moved Auburn in. The only thing that would have made it better is if Alabama would have been winning over it being tied and looking at overtime.

Yep, that's why I mentioned the situation. It's happened before but the circumstances surrounding this one make it so much more incredible.S7 mrmiller wrote:Yea, but that kicked a team out of the national championship game and might have moved Auburn in. Re: Auburn- really?
d@mn right! WAR EAGLE!!!! Amazing game start to finish. One of the best games I have seen in a while. I was sure were going into overtime and frankly I was fine with that as we have the better kicker but then Saben argued for one last second to be put on the clock. Not only that but they try for a 57 yard kick with a new kicker they had not even played? And then BAM! Bet Saben wishes he let it go into overtime now.

Saban's a douchecanoe and deserves the crap he's dealt. Hope he's able to console his seniors for most likely blowing their chance at a national championship.

Yea they only have two other nat championships rings....If they red-shirted they have three.S7 SockPuppet wrote:Saban's a douchecanoe and deserves the crap he's dealt. Hope he's able to console his seniors for most likely blowing their chance at a national championship.
On a side note I am glad the GA Auburn games ending is not the highlight of the year now.
Re: Auburn- really?
Yeah Saban was sort of stupid for going for that but I guess on the other hand if he hit it he would have been genius. Best game I have seen auburn play post cam newton.

Who would have said they would have had a different winner if it went into OT. I think you have to go for the win, but also protect against a possible return.

Yep. And late game errors happen but you won't catch Saban napping again. I promise he won't make the same mistake twice if a situation like this comes up again. regardless, it was a great game and a good year to be an Auburn Tiger. Re: Auburn- really?
For those slightly younger reading this and thinking Auburn is up-and-coming. Auburn was once a powerhouse when it came to college football. Everyone knows that tides turn and those on the bottom gain control of the top and vice-versa in sports. Could this be it? could the tide be coming? perhaps.
Just saying.

Re: Auburn- really?
If I remember right, wasn't Auburn in kind of a heyday in the early 90s? I think I remember them being one of the teams to play in college football games.

Re: Auburn- really?
Also if my memory serves me correctly both of those teams were .500 that year. So no national title implications because of the game.
The luck involved in the last two Auburn tiger war eagle plainmen games has been extraordinary.

Re: Auburn- really?
I'll give you luck at the end of Georgia but the Alabama game was well fought beginning to end. Davis is a great returner and it was a good call to put him back there to return.
