I am with Charles. I think it is a terrible crime and I hope whoever is responsible does some serious time. Those trees were over 130 years old. That is something you will never be able to replace. Truly a sad sad day.

I think this kind of shows you what that Alabama and Auburn rivalry is like to people that are not familiar with it...it is heated and hated to put it mildly.

I'm sorry to see such a beautiful piece of Auburn history destroyed by a school rivalry. I hope this guy goes to jail and if he gets out does community service planting trees, IRONY.
