Best Buy Trade in promo

Just traded in my 2008 Xbox 360 for 100 bills. All they did was turn it on and do a quick check and 100 dollars later walking out with a gift card. Without the promo it was only worth 1 dollar for a trade in. One of the best promos ever.

Do have to trade in a controller too? Or is it just the box?

They didn't give me the requirements but I took the box, controller, and power supply. They had asked if I had the video cables but, I dont think that was in the requirements. Guess best thing would be to call and ask.

I will be trading mine in on Friday as I would like to purchase a tablet soon and could use the extra $100 to help pay for it.

Never trade anything at GameStop.  That is fail.

went in today to trade my kids' xbox and got denied because the controller was missing the power pack where you put the AA batteries in...

Wasn't too happy about it and I maaaayyyy have let the guy know that...

I took mine in and they barely looked at. Didn't turn it on or anything. Asked me what it was, 20 Gig version, and rang it up. Didn't even look to see if it had all the cables or hard drive, and definitely didn't look at the controller to see if the battery cover was there (all was there). Got my $100 gift card to use on Black Friday now!
