World Series

Wooooo. Boston Red Sox are in the World Series against the cardinals .  I'm loving this team with a different guy stepping up every night a constant rock coming in to close out the game in Koji Uehara.

It's a tough one for who I'll root for.  I'm a Cubs fan so I can't root for the Cards, but my wife is a Tigers fan and they're kinda an adopted team for me so I'm not too pleased they were beaten by the Bo Sox.  Most likely my strong dislike of the Cards will win out and I'll pull for the Sox.  Either way, should be a good series.

Well....

As it all begins I will just say that since I took my first breath I've hated the Red Sox --but you already know that  .

What you may not know is that from the time I was able to swing from the "Tee" and well into the years as I traveled Florida/Georgia/Alabama on the semi-pro circuit (until it was time to get a real job) I was taught sportsmanship. I was told to always congratulate those that achieve what you did not. So I'll say Good luck OC / Sox and since you represent the AL I have no choice but to say go team. Since you LITERALLY started in the basement of the AL East and took the number one spot I only have one thing to say.

This shall henceforth be your theme music for the series....

Red Sox up 1 game to none on the Cardinals. 
Betran leaves the game and is taken to the hospital after robbing an Ortiz Grand slam. I would be shocked to see him back before the later games in the series if at all.

It's Beltran's first time in the world series. If I had that shot, a broken rib wouldn't keep me out. Except for the small fact that it's hard to breathe therefore nearly impossible to shag fly balls  LOL

Now tied up 1-1 headed to St. Louis. Bullpen blew that one after Lackey came out coupled with some throwing errors.  Big Papi put the sox up with 2 run hr but that didn't hold up for a win.

What a sh1tty way to end game with of the World Series with an obstruction call. Bull sh1t. 
He trip over his body not his feet that went up and if you watch he was trying to get up and out of the way but Craig fell on him. Bull sh1t call but that the rule I guess. Hopefully the redsox can do better next game. Ahhh sucks so bad to lose on a sh1t call like that.

Any game thats final play is decided by a penalty is garbage.

Congrats to Boston I tip my hat to you.

Wooooo World Champion Boston Red Sox.  I love seeing 38 year old Koji Uehara just shut guys down. Great games and two great teams can't ask for any better from a baseball fan.

Honestly, it's cool-- but if the St Louis crowd put a "congrats" page up in the Boston paper...now THAT would have been classy.

Well... Ironic where we are at this point. Yanks vs Sox tonight...and the Red Sox just had a fire sale. getting rid of everybody. It's crazy. Lester to Oakland? WHAT?? Jon Lester, the most accomplished lefthanded pitcher in Red Sox history. That's what happens when you're 48-60 (12.5 GB).

I thought these were the WS Champs? Not real sure what just happened.

Yea I would have much rather have signed Lester but the negotiation ran stall and the red sox had to cash in for him while they could. He said trade me I will still want to resign with the Red Sox so maybe the chance is still there. As far as the rest of them I'm ok get rid of Gomes, sell high on Lackey and Ok take Drew. I just need to see we're they go next year as far as a rotation. Right now this team at the plate is way better And was the biggest weak point for the redsox the pitchers for the most part would do ok and they could put runs on the board. We shall see what happens next year. Yup it was a fire sale for sure but I think they did good with what they got. Cespedes,Allen Craig are two Allstar out fielders guess where there weakest position was outfield. I actually wished they did more,get rid of Buckholtz,middlebrooks,Carp(who they designated for assignment,lol) I really like the youth movement they are heading in and they have the prospects they now just need to fill in the gaps.

The Yankees have to break this trend of hanging around .500 all season, as Baltimore and Toronto are cleaning their clock (Baltimore and Toronto!!!).
