BF4 running at 720p

Confirmation on the PS4.  I assume it will be the same on the XB1.  I'm hoping all these games are having a hard time pushing 1080p and/or 60fps because it's a new console.  Hoping to see 1080p/60fps be the norm before too long.  After all this is "Next Gen" stuff we're talking about.

Also, don't get me wrong, from what I've seen it still looks amazing and will be buying it day one, but was hoping for 1080p native out of the gate.  There are some games currently that are still "targeting 30fps".

Who knows, maybe they'll still be able to optimize enough to push to 1080p by launch, but I don't know how possible that is being that it's so close now.

still good to see as hell if you think about first time on console's (both ps4 and xb1) to have 64 player MP  and solid 60 fps   @ 720p that pretty solid for the first time being done

I imagine next-gen exclusives will be much more likely to run native 1080p

Yeah, I know, and it always will be.  I mean these "Next Gen" consoles are already behind and they haven't even come out yet.  And these new consoles are supposed to last until 2020'ish (at the earliest).  PC's won't even have a difficult time running 4k @ 60fps at that point.  Hell they'll probably be pushing 8k.

Yeah, they will.  Forza 5 will be running at 1080p/60fps.  I just had assumed that 1080p/60fps would be minimal at this point.

The Xbox One supports 4k...doubt we'll ever see games for it though.

Keep in mind that all current console games are running at 30fps.  None run at 60fps on the current gen, even on games that run 60fps on the PC.  It's a limit of the consoles, or at least that is what I was told a while back.  So a jump to 60fps will have a noticeable impact on us who only play on consoles.  But I took hope they hit 1080p sooner rather than later.  In fact I would rather take the fps hit and have it in 1080p personally.

Yeah, I doubt the entire current generation of TVs will be swapped out to a point where 4k would be adopted on any console games this gen.

There are a ton of games that run at 60fps on current consoles.

With the rigs that are needed to run current 4k gaming there is no way in hell Next Gen consoles will run a 4k game, not even close.

im sure they will have a extra hd package thats free if you want it like they did for bf3 but even not still think of this game will have 64 players with these amazing!!!! new maps with 60 fps on a console which is amazing just alone
