Re: Post Conference poll
I think the cloud computing is going to be a much bigger thing than most people think it will be. As time goes on developers will be able to do incredible things with it.

They did say something about it. Yesterday at E3, Don Mattrick (MS exec) said “We have a product for people who aren’t able to get some form of connectivity; it’s called Xbox 360”. That is their solution. Classy.
I like it! I feel the same! New tech FTW GTFO of the STICKS

Yeah, both are great gaming devices. Obviously Microsoft is making sure to push their online features and interaction. Sony is going for the other end of the spectrum.

I think cloud computing is going to be a big deal too. But I am not sure how much of it will be utilized for this generation of consoles. Especially with 3rd party publishers and developers. I mean, take BFX (Battlefield 4, 5, 6 etc...) for example. You are making a game that needs to come out on the PC, XTV and PSDragon. The PC and the PSD are going to be very similar to develop for and will not be using cloud computing. Are you going to spend extra time developing extra sh1t for cloud computing just for the XTV? Or are you just going to make one version of the game optimized for all current platforms? The latter is more likely. Certainly was the case with the PS3 this generation. No one wanted to take the extra time to develop for the true power of the Cell processor so they just made ports of 360/PC games. I see the same thing happening this gen.
Now, 1st party developers will definitely be taking advantage of the features and benefits of cloud computing though. I expect to see some amazing titles down the road in 2-3 years.

I like that there are big differences between the two. Since I play online MP almost exclusively and have a dedicated high speed connection for that and all my friends are on xbox... the choice was easy for me. I will not be getting a PS4. I have many other priorities above a second console.

Re: Post Conference poll
I know I was thinking about getting the PS4, but now I can't really think of any reasons to buy one.
Xbox One has more exclusives that I actually want to play.
The games I did want, which I thought were PS4 exclusives, are also coming to Xbox One.
I have a constant internet connection, so having to sign in to activate a game. No big deal
I always buy games new and keep them. So no big deal there either.
Most friends will be getting Xbox One.
The only appealing factor the PS4 has to me is that it's $100 cheaper, but honestly if I'm not going to get as much enjoyment out of it as I would on an Xbox One, then that extra $100 is just small price to pay for Xbox one.
Maybe the PS4 will appeal to me sometime down the road, but for now I've gone from 'probably' to 'not' getting a PS4.

Re: Post Conference poll
I still feel that the last gen, Sony came out arrogant and it bit them in the ass. This time it's MS who is being arrogant and I don't like it either. For Me the Xbox one fits the bill besides renting games. I like the TV and Video options, I mainly play Multiplayer, I have a good connection. Now that is just me, and thinking about the industry and how the Xbox one stays relevant and the #1 console ensuring it keeps innovating, getting good exclusives, and having the cash flow to develop quality first party games, I don't like what I see and it concerns me for the future of the system. I do think MS is going to have to back-peddle on the "always online" part, and leave that to the game developers to decide if their games must be online all the time. And if they want to fight piracy and sharing, go back to when you are offline the game disc must be in the drive for it to work. Then again, that is too simple and common sense, so they will have to make it much more difficult and confusing.

Re: Post Conference poll
In all honesty, I was all set for PS4 to have a super-strong E3 showing and the Xbox have a pretty 'meh' showing, as per usual. However, I felt like the tides had been turned here.
MS just brought out a ton of exciting games and showed off some really cool tech too. I think Spark could be VERY interesting but with those kind of games, they generally fail to live up to expectation (Spore, anyone?)
The Sony conference meanwhile...the gamers were ones that we're either a) already known about or b) failed to impress. Also, they lack a decent racing title - and probably will do until GT7. What's that I hear you say? Drive Club? Well, I went and played that yesterday and found it VERY underwhelming - and it's crunch time now. Not long until it goes gold and gets shipped off for publishing. It isn't really going to get much better, there's just not time. I'd just go with a Codemasters offering, or the next NFS instead.
So, in summary, I've basically gone from my plan of getting both at launch, to just getting the Xbox and then picking up the PS4 further down the line (if at all).

Pretty much the same thing here (minus going and playing Drive Club).
