Post Conference poll

Just wanted to see if any one minds have changed i have allowed vote cancelling so if you change your mind you can revote...


ok for me this is what i think from what i watched

PS4 Pro-
-$399
-Can play Offline
-Used games friendly
---all of these are MAJOR pluses
-killzone ,god of war ,uncharted a must play for any PS3 owner
- stream to ustream (no word if its HD will it cost so on )

PS4 Cons -
-Freezing and lots of it so bad they had to stop playing assassins creed Demo (which ran earlier on XB1 Fine) Freezing on Destiney as well
-other then 2 major none kiddy Exclusives not alot of games /game play was shown.
- fully subtitled game FF XV (which for some people i guess its ok myself i dont want to read a game)
-Just updates to old services nothing really new it was all stuff the both xbox and ps3 already had


XB1 Pros-
-Several NEW AAA title Exclusives
-Halo ,Ryse, Titanfalls,Forza 5 were the top for me
-HD PVR stream to twitch (demoed free for Gold members)
-Snapping from Game to app or have both at the same time ( like the twitch stream lady was playing a game and had your twitch chat snapped on the side of the stream) BIG one voice chat for streamer is picked up and stream via kinect for people who dont stream this is probably the hardest thing a streamer has to do made easy
-Several New Partners TV, Skype NFL and so on
-2 free Game DL a month (compared to PSN's 1)
- as always XBL will have first grabs of Several Big title DLC

XB1 Con-
-$499 (100 bucks higher then PS4)
-Need to check in ever 24 hours if home every 1 hour if away
-a yes and no to Used games



either way you look at it both have some big PRO's And some BIG cons .... in the end it falls down to which one will give you the most bang for your buck which one has more games for you to play


Myself i have to look past some big things and stick with XB1 main reason they showed Exclusives i MUST play halo,ryse,forza,titans fall all looked EPIC and for me the only thing that Sony got right is USED games if MS does not come out and explain how there used game thing will work better... i can look past the need to check in every 24 hours i dont feel the 499 price tag was OMG high yes its 100 bucks more then PS4 but i also feel i am getting more bang for my money . HD pvr Free streaming on top of a kinect which alone is easily 150-200 . the fact that it reminds me of PC gaming makes it even better not having to wait to load something when doing something else, i can have skype and pandora playing as im playing games which is how a pc game all the time
... in the end ill do what i always do and that is ill have both but Xb1 is my first pick

TITANFALL!!!

I'll have to give it to Microsoft. Sony spent too much time on Vita and PS3. They announced games that weren't even PS4 exclusive but had some cheap dlc sh1t (diablo 3, batman, destiny). Found it boring overall. I'm a Final Fantasy fanboy, so seeing FFXV (going to be in english when released in america DUH) and Kingdom Hearts 3 was awesome. That alone will make me want to purchase a PS4. Microsoft's press conference was focused on Xbox One and its exclusives almost the whole time, and that's something I want to see at E3.

Edit: and yeah, Titanfall was pretty amazing.

can i change my vote lol. After looking at the games i will probably get the xbone first then a ps4. Like husker said in other thread it is about my xbox live friends i play with most are on xbox so i guess im screwed in that sense keep friends or play alone.

I'll still get both (and put in the day one preorder on Amazon), as I want the TV stuff that MS is doing and the used games is not that big an issue for me. But I will be renting the cross platform single player games on the PS4, and in time could switch over to that system more and more, and wouldn't doubt if the general public doesn't as well. I felt in the last generation Sony came out with a flare of arrogance, touting the PS2 history and there new uber cell processor along with the fact they were Sony. Now they are listening the users and the shoe is on the other foot.

If it's all about the games and the hardware's intangibles, it's Xbox one. If its the user-friendliness and price point, it's PS4. Then again, its like comparing an iPhone and Android, and people keep paying more for the iPhone to be restricted by Apple.

PS4 looks really sweet with the lower price point, used games and no online restrictions. Killzone, Infamous and The Order too. XTV has Forza 5, Titanfall and my friends. Hard to say right now.

Xbox for me, preordering in the morning. Ryze looks spectacular. Forza 5 is a must have and I can't wait to play all the other titles. I'm glad the PS4 is cheap though, I should be able to get it a couple months post-launch!

Xbox for all the great games and to me most importantly is that most of my friends will still be on the Xbox

I know I'll get the PS4 at some point. With it being $400, it makes it easier for me to make a purchasing decision towards it. Just hope that there'd be enough exclusive games for me to go towards it. Because if a game releases for Xbox One and PS4... then I'll likely get it for Xbox One.

Sticky- you missed a pro for the Xbox one = the remote play. I like the idea if I'm at a friends house I can log on to my Xbox at home and play that game remotely.

I wonder if there will not be less expensive version of the Xbox One. I can see a $399 one if you agree to 2 years of XBL Gold. Like cell phones and they already do with the 360 at Best Buy. Why not? I don't know who wouldn't want Gold for the Xbox One, as I can't imagine much besides the single player games working with a Silver acct. Then they can advertise it as the same price as the PS4.

Actually that would be a rip off, but I know what you mean. You would pay a lot more with the 2yr contract over time but they would probably sell a good bit. Frankly, it would probably be better if they did it this way. By requiring XBL (via 2yr contract) they would save them selves some headaches down the road. I see a lot of people buying the XTV and not knowing better, only to find out later that a Highspeed connection is required. Around where I live, that would mean a lot of returned consoles and angry customers. About half or even three quarters of the people I know around here only have dial-up since it is all that is available where they live. (We in da COUNTRY down here.) Unless the sales people at Walmart are explicit during checkout about highspeed internet requirements, it's gonna cause some problems. And let's face it, walmart is not the creme of the crop for sales people. But by requiring a 2yr contract, it might warn people off before buying.

I'll just stick with calling it XBO or XB1 or simply Xbox One. Interceptor can be the only loser in the world who calls it XTV

Won't work with dial-up. Even the current Xbox doesn't work with dial-up. Just ask Brim. I don't the next amazing-all-in-one-savoir to all high techly-ness is somehow going backwards.
