Went ahead and pre-ordered a "Day One Edition"

The Gamestop I went to was only allotted 12 "Day One Edition" consoles and they said that was the most they knew of in any Gamestop in the area so figured I might as well grab one up. Might as well as I know I'd end up getting the XBone anyways. I've been a part of Xbox Live since it's inception, I can't leave now!

Probably going to do the same on Amazon since I can always cancel if I change my mind. Wonder what the Day Two Edition will cost?

Right now I'm assuming the same, as Gamestop had "bundles" on their site for $559.98 with one game.

as long as its not like when the 360 came out with mass short of units and fail

What did GameStop require as a deposit and how soon after release do you have to pick it up?

$100 deposit and on the receipt it says you have up to 48 hours to pick it up.

From what I gather they are pretty limited so you better do it quick! lol

My friend up in New Jersey said they were already out of the "Day One" editions at two of the stores he went to and he got the last one at the third.

Bah, I better preorder then.

I just preordered the day one on amazon.

Keep in mind I could be wrong, but what I've said was told to me by the Gamestop I went to and my friend who went to the ones he went to. For all I know these "Day One Editions" could be anything pre-ordered from now until release day, but they aren't acting like that is the case.

I didn't pre-order an games with it yet, but I will be getting Forza 5 for sure at launch, it's just a matter of whether it's digital download or physical copy.

Right there with yay dude. My gamestop said they had 2 left and I hauled ass up there slapped that 100 on the counter.

GameStop online has them, didn't check for a quantity limit. My biggest question would be BF4 or Forza 5 bundle. Also, did they mention anything about headsets? I'm curious if TB is going to make an adapter for XP500s so I'll be able to use them on the Xbone or are there going to be any decent sets available at launch.

Best Buy is allowing for online order and in store pickup and if you have one of their credit cards you can finance it with 0% interest if paid off in 18 months - about $30/mo for payments.

Pre-ordered Xbox One and Forza 5 from Best Buy (pick up at store). Also thinking of pre-ordering Battlefield 4.

They were on the iPhone app and website.

what does the day one edition have that i cant get with a regular month old edition?

agreed its just a name im sure you can get normal edition day one there is just a limited edition called DAY ONE

Got mine from Amazon. BTW- PS4 is up for pre-order too.
