COD: Ghosts
New COD game this November, and it looks to be multi-gen across all platforms. I'm hoping with the "ghosts" title, it moves to a more covert and stealthy play at least for the single player. Reveal will be at the Xbox event at E3.

The franchise that has defined a generation of gaming is set to raise the bar once again with the all-new Call of Duty®: Ghosts. "We saw the console transition as the perfect opportunity to start a new chapter for Call of Duty. So we're building a new sub-brand, a new engine, and a lot of new ideas and experiences for our players. We can't wait to share them with our community."

"With Call of Duty: Ghosts, we have no doubt that our longtime partners, Activision and Infinity Ward, will raise the bar higher than ever before for this incredible franchise."
Starting today, fans can begin pre-ordering their copy of Call of Duty: Ghosts at retail outlets worldwide.
"There's no other video game property like Call of Duty. It's the biggest game franchise on the planet that has had some of the biggest game entertainment launches in history," said Tony Bartel, president of GameStop. Re: COD: Ghosts
I don't think I will buy it till the next gen Xbox is out. Having it as a launch title is better than as a final 360 game

Yeah, hopefully this launch coincides with the next gen Xbox. That way people who get it can buy the (real) version, but someone who can't upgrade can still get a chance to play it on Xbox 360, Wii U, or other old systems.

Re: COD: Ghosts
from what they said it looks like its going to be a good title but still ill wait and see if it does not turn out to be another normal cod
i wished they would have shown some MP gameplay or talked if there changing the number of people in the game were normal teams size is like 10v10 and big team is 20v20
i think alot of the lag issues will be fixed with the way there doing loads and latency issues on this next box and pushing alot of the stuff into the clouds if you did not watch the twitch stream after the live event you missed out on the nerd tech talk XD

Network programming is a pretty crazy/difficult thing to do. Just improving the way they handle data packets could reduce latency.

Funny, I don't think "bigger and more epic", I instantly think of more campers and fake snipers.S7 Sticky wrote:just think of it if they bump up the player per game maps are going to be bigger and more EPIC

I think CoD would be better served if they stayed smaller. It would be nice for the game to support more players, but I don't want it to turn into a mediocre BF rip-off.

Re: COD: Ghosts
I think they borrowed more than the ghost name from Ghost recon with added features like sliding shoot from cover and better movement jumping over walls. This single player looks promising and I may actually play it this time. I want to see more at E3 on the mp improvements but so far I am liking what I see.

I liked GR and Crysis. So it looks good to me. Taking good features and incorperating them is good. I just hope the COD fanboys do go crying "COD IS SOOOO INNOVATIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
