If you are a Comcast (Xfinity) internet costumer you just got a free speed increase, with your current internet speed determining how much of a bump you will get. From what we have read it appears as if customers at 25Mbps will be moved to 50Mbps and their upload speeds from 4Mbps to 10Mbps. Extreme 50 customers had their download speeds increased from 50Mbps to 105Mbps, and their upload speeds increased from 15Mbps to 20Mbps.

If you had a speed increase let us know by posting your speed on our Facebook page. Also, if you should have gotten an increase, but didn’t just power your modem off for a minute and restart it. After that you should have the correct speed. We included our speed increase below. Just a month ago our service was maxed out at 35Mb/s. Now we are nearly reaching 70Mb

Probably has to do with Google Fiber in Kansas City and Google Fiber moving Austin Texas. Its also riled up some friendly business competition between Google Fiber and AT&T fiber to see who will get the rights over Austin Texas.

Hopefully this is the start of a wide spread movement were internet companies stop sitting on the oligopoly they have created and start produce world leading internet speeds.

I assume you guys are comparing upload speeds and not download speeds. Sad day either way down here in MS. I get about 20 down but only 1.5 up. No
