LNS Off-Season Fun Returns!

I think it's too short of notice to do it before Monday so I'm guessing sometime after that.

Friday's work for me. And with enough notice, any day could work well.

Alright. Fridays sound good to me too. What time? 12am? Eastern? Sound off. Once we have the time we can try for our first event. Say next Friday?

Anytime Klown. Just let me know what you want and I will take care of it. Of course, that means you would actually have to show up to an event.

Friday nights might work for me since I should be working Sat night every other week. As for time, midnight EST or around then should be good.

Fridays work for me. The later the better, 12 EST is perfect.

How about next Friday? One week from today. Is that too soon to make plans and get together? if so we will shot for 2 weeks. Let me know. Once I have a date, I will post up the event details. Let get rolling. It's time for crazy car bashing!

That would probably work best for me since that week I'll be Fri AM and Sat PM. Should stay on that schedule every two weeks, tentatively, so every other Fri night should work best for me.

Next Friday marks a long and well deserved 4 day weekend. I'd love to kick it off with some S7 late night mayhem.

Last Man Standing Tournament (LMS)

I thought of this when coming up with the "Power of 2" tournament.

EVERYONE starts out racing. The person that finishes Last on each lap is eliminated and that is their final placing. They they can try to wreck/destroy the other cars as they please.
Last man standing wins.
In the event of a big turnout, the Final 3 racers can race for position

ex)
10 people start the race. 1 is eliminated each lap and the final 3 will race for position. So we would set the race for 7 laps.


I think this style would be fun because it (should) shake up placings a lot. If Interseptor starts in the back on a short track, he's going to be hard pressed to make up the ground. Especially if we allow contact for the racers as well.

Team Racing
Take whoever shows up, split up into teams of two, and use a classic team scoring system (just like on our old Forza Gamebattles races).

Racing here would be clean (or not, let the group decide)

I know we haven't done any of this in a while but it was a blast back in Forza 2.

Both ideas sound like a lot of fun. Just a picky fyi on the last man standing one in your example there would be 4 players (rather than 3) left starting lap 7. I would add the rule that the person must finish there lap before they are eliminated, meaning that just because you will be eliminated due to the opponents already entering the next lap you must still finish your lap before you can do any bs backward driving bigbear isms.

I didn't even think of specifying that, but it's a good point.

PS: Ahh, and I forgot to add the additional lap in for the top 3 to race in.

I'm liking all the ideas that have been posted but like I said earlier I'd be a definite no this week and a maybe next week. I'd be more likely to be able to go next week if we started at like 10 or 11 pm EST since the baby seems to want to eat around midnight. However that could change by next week, or by tonight for that matter.

Thought I'd use this thread for LNS tourney ideas.

Full Contact Tag Race
Not completely sure if this works on the tag rules but;

Everything is allowed (driving backwards, big bears, etc)

Race as normal, HOWEVER - Your goal is to be 'it' when you cross the finish line. Whoever is it when the race is over automatically moves up 4 places (max placement is still 1st).

This encourages everyone to keep moving (if you're in dead last and it, you still get a mediocre placing)
However it makes the race a lot more interesting.

ex) If you're in 1st and 3rd place is it - if you finish the race you're definitely going to end up in 2nd place.

An additional thought (if settings allow) would be to make 2 people it, with the same position change. Just to make things even more interesting.

I like the tag idea, I wonder if would be good to have cosmetic damage for this idea. Kind of like infection. That would encourage big hits and still allow to keep racing. I think that would be a lot of fun.

We could definitely try it with cosmetic.
