Minecraft Empty Minecraft

Post by Xpert2010 Mon Dec 10, 2012 12:33 pm

A friend and I recently felt like playing Minecraft (PC), so we started up a small server which we plan on installing Tekkit, which has a bunch of mods such which allows you to harness nuclear energy and build machines that can automatically gather resources and transport them to chests. There's a lot more to it, you'd have to check out the tekkit wiki to see what all can be done. If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll post the server information. You'd also have to post your minecraft names so I could whitelist you. This is only for the computer version of minecraft.

The mod is pretty cool once you get the hang of it. It sort of throws a lot at you at one time, so it can feel a bit overwhelming if you're not trying to ease your way in. I had tried this awhile ago. Once you mine iron, you can start off with basic industrial machines that are powered by batteries. An annoying thing is that you'd have to switch out batteries often and recharge them with redstone. When you get further in, you can actually use solar power to recharge batteries or power machines. I never got really far into the mod before because the server I was playing on before decided to end its life, but some creations can be over the top. Especially when it comes to creating dark matter and other 'powerful' items.

Send you're minecraft name and I'll add you to whitelist later. I'll also PM you the server info when I have the chance since I'd rather not have it out where all public can see.

My brother runs tekkit on his server.

I myself do not partake in the pixelated gameplay of minecraft.

That's cause Minecraft is too cool for you to handle.

My kids play minecraft...

They actually build some amazing stuff too. I'm surprised what their imagination comes up with.
