Minecraft on XBLA

Downloaded it last night, played 5 minutes then bought it for $20. It kept me up til about 4am - very addicting and fun! There is some sort of online mode I have not tried out yet. I spent all my time learning what does what, what I need to harvest to make what, and how all the construction works. Made a good fort but two of the corners got blown up so I'm replacing dirt blocks with stone. I think I made it through 4 or 5 nights. This game is worth the money IMO and I will be playing it a lot.

I hear this is a game that will hook you. I'll have to give it a try.

I have the PC version, its ok at first but over time it gets boring.

Cool. It doesn't need to last me forever, but I'm hoping to get my money's worth. Do you think it is worth $20?

agreed for the first week your like hell ya then after that its like why did i get this game

I have the PC version and it kept me busy for a long time. I just try to give myself some big projects using redstone and I don't ever get bored then. Been thinking of getting the XBLA version, but that is like 15 updates behind the PC version and definitely not as vast... but at least multiplayer is simpler on the Xbox.

If I didn't already have the PC version, I'd get it. Awesome game, free updates (for a while) too, so lots of new features to look forward to.

I got the game while it was in alpha for 5 dollars so its worth that much now $20 not really sure its worth that much.

Personally I really enjoyed playing Minecraft on Xbox. It doesn't compare to the original PC version, but it was still fun none-the-less. If anyone is interested, I can help with achievements or just getting started. Message me if you want to join my world or something!

Never tried it but have a few addicted friends. I may pick it up on XBL. Tough to choose it over the PC version though. Especially with my new pc in the works.

Although the PC version is in fact much better, I think the one on Xbox better caters to new minecraft players. Also, on the Xbox, there is no creative mode, which I personally don't mind. If you decide to buy it on XBL though, let me know!

I'll probably just stick to the PC minecraft. I like joining vanilla servers where there's many people who are creating a bunch of cool structures. Also with the map size not being limited like in Xbox minecraft, it gives more freedom to venture far off to find new caves and collect ores... cause when you have a server with 15+ active people, nearby resources get drained very quickly.
