Clan Ops Start NOW!

Black Ops has brought back the clan ops, and in the typical Elite fashion they give you about a days notice. Anyhow, I have signed us up for all of this weekends events as outlined below:

Core Team Deathmatch - 12/01/12 @ 5 pm EST ( https://elite.callofduty.com/compete/clan/events/view/2738 )
Core Kill Confirmed - 12/02/12 @ 5 pm EST ( https://elite.callofduty.com/compete/clan/events/view/2739 )
It looks like there is no "participation" award this time, and the clan will have to rank in the top 45% for a bronze. I do not see and "end time" listed, but previously the clan ops were 3 hour events.


There is also a Daily Clan Challenge that starts Monday at 2 pm EST for Total TDM Kills, with XP granted for 100, 300, and 500 kill levels. ( https://elite.callofduty.com/compete/clan/challenges/view/2740 ). I would guess this runs all day and into Tuesday to get the total kills.

I will keep you updated, and hope to see some of you on and ranking up the clan.

BTW- if anyone needs an invite to the S7 clan in Elite, let me know or send a request via the Elite site (Clan name is: The Sacred Seven)

Do you have to sign up anywhere to participate in these or do you just show up and play and it records your stats automatically for the time frame?

as long as your on the clan roster you just show up and play them miller already got the clan in for the event

I didn't get home until the last hour, and even then only played a little as I was in and out. It looks like only me a Security Guy played any TDM, but we still managed a Bronze and to move the clan up to level 2. At level 5 we get our first clan calling card.

I'll be MUCH more active in the clan ops stuff after this next week is over. Have a lot going on family wise so I won't be around much.

It wasnt even me...I was watching GA play Alabama in the SEC championship game. One of my buddies kids evidently fired up Blops2 and played for us

I was tied up this afternoon hanging Christmas lights and putting up the tree, and only managed to play one game of Kill Confirmed. I just checked Elite and it looks like you all pulled a Silver- Great Job guys!

I don't know how it works but OC and a few others did play yesterday....pretty cool....

The silver yesterday moved us from level 2 all the way to level 4!

The Team Deathmatch event for today is cumulative, meaning it’s the total amount of kills by the end of the day. I’m sure we can hit 500 as a clan pretty easy as some will get 20-30 kills each game. That means we should rank up to level 5 and get a new clan calling card.

I'm not sure if I'm on the clan roster through elite

Go to elite and check the roster (I can't check it from here). If you are not on there, put in a request and I will accept you in when I get home.

Silver was good, but a little disappointing considering the effort we put forth. Looks like they stuck with the "only count the top 6 players" system - the reporting on this on elite looks a little fouled up still.

think its stupid that its only top six

but over all its the only fair way of doing it as there are some elite clans out there with a f#ck load of people in them

There were many times we didn't have 6 play during the aloted time and missed out on gold or sliver just due to head count. So it's always good to have someone who can play, particuarly if they go the entire 3 hour period.

Were you on the same team? I think it only matters if you are on the opposing team (to prevent boosting).

Also, I believe the clan challenges count everyone, and not just the top six like the clan operations.
