Halo 4 - I ordered it

Thought I'd see who all had it pre-ordered or planned on picking it up.

More specifically I'm making my historic opening night campaign run. Depending on the campaign length I will be finishing the entire co-op on legendary. If anyone is interested in joining me hit me up here. Keep in mind I'm in MST, so the run will be starting at roughly 2:30 EST - whenever my work starts.

On a side note, found out I got the Limited Edition yesterday. I kept going in and putting down $20 payments and finally checked the receipt and saw LE.

I have it pre-ordered, but I'll need to re-pre-order it when I go to Iowa this weekend to check out an apartment. My brother will likely get the one I have already pre-ordered. There's no way I'd be able to do a midnight release since I'd be working from 9 to 5, Monday through Friday, so yeah... I wouldn't be able to do the coop at that time.

I'd be in the same boat if I could pick it up on release date. Not to mention I'd be an anchor at most any difficulty other than easy.

I could do that. Just no way for midnight, especially since that Monday and Tuesday are literally my 1st and 2nd days at new job. Don't wanna walk in on the 2nd day tired because I played Halo all night. lol

Hmm, since my regular launch night gamers are gone I suppose I could do MP until the weekend and we could do a Legendary run friday night?

Also puppet, don't worry about being an 'anchor'. I've gone through solo while my groups been afk on legendary. It's really not too hard at all except at 1 or 2 spots.

The weekend would work great. Maybe we could even complete the campaign in one playthrough!

Well duh. Halo 3, ODST, and Reach I played through in 1 sitting (overnight) on Legendary.

I per-ordered it. In fact, I requested PTO days on Nov 5 - 6th. I'm picking it up at midnight. I'll run w/ you.

Yeah Pharaoh! 2 more for opening night. Xpert, you've probably got the only legit excuse. Most of the time I'd say just be tired at work, but first 2 days at the job you want to make a good impression.

I preordered from amazon so I will have it some time the day it comes out. That's fine because I never do midnight releases/ all night plays on first night. Because I have to work with high school kids so being that tired would not be an option.

I doubt that I'll be able to go to any more midnight releases for awhile. Unless a game somehow gets released on Saturday or Sunday (which never happens).

I'm hearing Atrum, Pharaoh, and Sticky are for sure at Midnight. 1 more slot left!

I am hoping that the campaign will have an ending warthog race like in Halo Combat Evolved and Halo 3. Having four people do it in Halo 3, espcially in Ghosts, was too fun. The constant yelling at each other and bumping each other in groups of exploding flood or down the endless pit. Good times.

Oh man I forgot about that. I ran through that with so many groups of people. That first night was epic. Exhaustion + finally being at the ending of the game made it SO epic. That and no matter how good you are at driving a warthog/ghost you would die at some point.

One of my favorite memories of that, is we had four people in Ghosts to get that one achievement. Someone had just fallen into the pit right when I jumped into the ship. And everyone was like "did we make it? We made it!" and then 5 seconds later the cut scene was interrupted and we were all back at the last checkpoint. Then it was "Goddamnit [person]!"

^^^^ nope wonky will play on easy mode and roll the camp then talk about it to every one before they even start playing

I'm still trying to decide between regular and LE - looks like all LE will give me (that is useful) is a skin and $5 off the DLC - trying to figure out if you get all that DLC immediately though or have to wait - immediately might make the LE worth while.

I figure I can bittorent that if need be, but it would be nice to have it on solid media. Do you know anything about whether or not the War Games map packs will be available at game release for LE buyers? It says each will be available "post launch" but does that mean after the game launch or after each map pack launch?
