March 2010 update

This is the inaugural ranking for S7. This list is all the active members of the clan, and should be include on your friends list. The list is liked to Xbox.com, and you can click on the GamerCard here, to be redirected to add them to your friends list at Xbox.com.

We are starting new with the clan, and therefore starting new with the ranks. Right now I want to be sure that everyone is properly listed, and if I missed anyone or have a GT or something incorrect, send me a PM so I can fix it.

We already have over 40 active remembers hitting roll call! I noticed we had several people miss the roll call, but I also have them included on this list. Remember- you must hit roll call to be include in the future, and to be eligible for promotion and awards.

Thanks to all for hitting Roll Call and joining us here at our new home. Welcome to S7!

April 2010 Update:

Things seem to be going very well with S7, as we had a pretty good turn out for roll call, with well over 40 people replying in the clan and 20 or more for each game. We did still have several notable members not hit the roll call, so try and remember to reply at the first of the month when you see it posted.

Modern Warfare has seen a nice resurgence with the release of the Map Pack, and many new prestiges as well. All of the new maps are excellent (in my opinion the 3 “new” maps are perhaps the best 3 in the game) and I would recommend anyone who doesn’t have them to pick them up, even with the rather annoyingly high price point as they are worth it. MW2 continues to be our big game, as well as the dominant game on XBL. With another intra-clan tourney in the planning stages, and more clan matches to come in the future, MW2 will continue to be successful for S7.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 made its debut last month, and already has strong support in the clan. Even with the troublesome private lobbies, BC2 looks to be a quality clan game. The leadership of BC2 will have their hands full while navigating the troubles the lobby system provides, but it has proved workable and with the support the members can give the game it has a good opportunity to be successful. It is also incredibly fun, and a nice change of pace from the Call of Duty series.

There also has been a lot of fun and camaraderie in other “just for fun games” in S7, most notability with Forza. The clan has even been having its own unofficial “Forza Night,” along with clan lap challenges and tourney style race events. Be sure and join in on the Forza excitement if you like racing games. Also with Baseball and the upcoming UFC, we continue to build that fun and competitive online community that we all strive for, and to build a brotherhood amongst the members.

March was a successful month for the clan, and we continue to add quality new members and welcome old friends who have recently joined us with S7. MidMiddy joined the ranks of the full status members, and there were several leadership promotions as members took responsibilities in helping lead Battlefield. Congratulations to all on their promotions.

PM me with any errors or questions- Insignias will be updated shortly.

May 2010 Update

The past month has not been a particularly busy in the terms of clan matches, but we have had a lot of people online and playing together with the new COD maps, the Halo Reach Beta, and the ongoing success of “Forza night”. The near future hold more opportunities with another COD map pack coming, and some high profile games such as Red Dead Redemption. It should be a fun and active time for S7.

We still have several people missing roll calls, and can be noted by there change in status above (Yellow-Red). Be sure and hit roll call to be considered active on the roster and have the opportunity to advance in rank.

We did not have any promotions this period (mainly because some people missed roll call), but we did have one new member join us. Let’s all welcome Chronic Corpser to S7!

September 2010 Update

Woah- it's been a while since any updates were made. I tried to compile several of the last roll calls to make this update, and pretty much moved all active members to the Sergent level. After the current (October) roll call, I plan to make more changes.

By looking at the lower ranks, we can see our numbers there are thin, meaning we haven't been adding any new members for quite some time (exception to prove the rule- Chippy). That is not necessarily a bad thing, as the current members have been quite active, and the clan has been rolling along.

The next couple of months bring several new games, and several opportunities to play with fellow clan mates in either competitive or cooperative sessions. It is also a time to invite in other fellow gamers who may be looking for a home to share the camaraderie that we all share.

Keep up the good work and values of the S7.

November 2010 Update

What a difference a month makes. At least what a difference a month in which a Call of Duty game is released. There were some minor updates last month when adding in additional officers for Halo, but there are some significant changes this month as Halo Reach and Modern Warfare 2 are being moved to the “Team Game” category. This means they are not supported as a “clan game” and will have no assigned leadership and/or practice schedule. You can still actively compete in the game for S7, and it is as simple as assembling a team, working out some strategies, and getting in on some game ladders to compete in clan matches. This really is an ideal situation for the die-hard Halo fans, and I would suggest you take the opportunity to keep the game fun and competitive by making a team and playing.

With the release of Black Ops, there has been a lot of activity online and on the message boards. We have selected a game commander for Black Ops, and with OC at the helm we have a great opportunity for success. Interceptor is backing him up as his XO, and with UC, Smack, and Vision as other officers, the game is stacked with members who have previously lead other games as Game Commanders and should be of great benefit to the clan in being a successful and fun game.

With the demotion of MW2 and Reach to team games, the previous game commanders Sitcky and Glock have been promoted to the clan officer rank of Major. Congratulations to both, as they defiantly deserve the promotion. Both guys are always among the first to offer help to the clan, whether that be in leading practices, helping with the message boards, or take on the responsibilities of the Game Commander or other game officers.

This month we have added several new recruits to the clan, so be sure and get them added to your friends list. Also, Ninja/Kenny has passed his probation is now a full member of S7.

See you all online!

Feb 2011 Update

I apologize for the lateness of the update(s). I posted the updated ranks up for review by the clan leaders last week, and then I forgot to post it here afterwards. The same thing happened with the December update (and we didn’t do one in January, as this is really a Jan/Feb Update) so you may notice quite a few changes.

There have been some updates to the game leadership ranks, as well as many of our newer members passing probation and being promoted to full member status. Congrats to all on their promotions.

There looks to be several good games on the horizon, and luckily many have some solid multiplayer options. As we only have one fully supported game right now, be sure to plug you new favorites and send out invites to other clan members to join you when online, whether it’s multiplayer against the masses or co-op.

We are closing in on one year with S7, and for me personally it has been exceptionally great. Thanks to all the great members we have playing and all the great nights of gaming, from owning the public or gutting it out in intra-clan tournaments. It’s been a blast for me, and hopefully everyone else.

See you online!

Post by S7 mrmiller Thu May 19, 2011 5:26 pm

I apologize for the long gap in updating the COC. We actually had a new one last month that was never publicly posted. This one sees quite a few promotions with some carry-overs from last time. As the clan has hit the 1 year mark since last update, many of our most active and involved members both in game and the forums, have been moved up in rank. Congratulations to all on your promotions! I actually expect to see several more promoted next time, as the vast majority of our clan has hit their 1 year anniversary. There would probably be even more this time around, but you have to hit roll call to be eligible for promotion. Also, with the clan wide prize vault meaning more clan events with prizes, you must be an active member (by replying to roll call) to be eligible to win donated prizes. So be sure and check the message boards at the beginning of the month for roll call, as well as frequently for announced events and tournaments. We have had some good ones recently, with the “up all night” anniversary tournament which dealt out several prizes, and the late night poker tourney in which Droopy offered up a custom S7 deck of cards, all the way to the latest Zombie tourney last week which had all the teams within one game of each other. Remember- anyone can donate a prize to the vault, and the details are located here: https://sacredseven.forumotion.net/t2551-s7-prize-vault

This is the normal “summer slow-down” period where the big games like Call of Duty are starting to wear thin, companies are releasing their second tier games before the fall onslaught, and people are simply busier with family and outdoor activities and not as likely to be online. Be sure and send out invites to those you do see online when you want to get a game going, and once you have 2 ore 3 people you are more likely to get others to join in and get a larger group rolling Also, everyone is free to post up ideas for particular game nights if you know you will be free and want to play a particular title. Just post it up and see who all is interested. Like I mentioned, summer is typically a bit slower but we can all stay involved as a clan with a little determination and preparation.

Again, congratulations to all on their promotions, and to all the winners of the clan events. I will try and update insignias ASAP.

Summer 2011 Update

Whoa, it has been a long time since I have posted any updates to the ranks. I actually did an update in mid July, with the June numbers, but the July roll call was running really late and I wanted to incorporate those results which lead to August and adding those results as well. So what you essentially have here is 3 months of updates rolled into one (and September roll call is ongoing). But enough of my slacker excuses and on to the clan update-

There were a ton of promotions in this update, and unfortunately I did have to start deleting some members from the COC who have not hit roll call in quite some time. Many members were promoted to Staff Sergeant for actively serving in S7 for over a year. We also had some of the new members moving up through the ranks. Also, a shout-out goes to Coolhand for being promoted to the honors position of Sergeant First Class due to his efforts with Homefront as Game Commander as well as his numerous other contributions to the clan.

Summer is always fairly slow, as people have erratic schedules and lots going on. Still, there were a large amount of clan events that have been taking place. There have been several clan tournaments with many prizes given away (thanks AirCav and Droopy!) and Forza didn’t slow down too much with another season under its belt. Plus there still seems to be fairly large gatherings of members several nights of the week for good old Call of Duty ownage. Heck, we even had several throwback Rainbow Six Vegas nights!

So needless to say, but it has been a fun summer, and this fall looks to be insane with some really great games coming out relatively soon. Be on the lookout for Game Commander openings! Also make sure and keep hitting that roll call (even if I get behind on the updates) as you have to be active and in good standings to be eligible for prizes in the tournaments or play in clan matches. Also, feel free to offer up items for the prize vault if you wish- https://sacredseven.forumotion.net/t2551-s7-prize-vault

September Update

I finally got around to updating the ranks for the month of September, and there are some notable changes. First and foremost, congratulations to Droopy and Knight Owl for being promoted up to the honor position of Sergeant First Class! Droopy and Knight Owl have lead the late night tourney series that has run thought the summer. Droopy has also offered up several prizes and impromptu tourneys as well. Thanks to all who help make gaming in S7 fun and exciting. As a reminder- anyone can offer up prizes to the prize vault for future tournaments and events ( https://sacredseven.forumotion.net/t2551-s7-prize-vault )

I have also removed more people from the COC. Some have left the clan, and some have been inactive for a lengthily period. Again, those who are simply inactive are still technically members of the clan, I only remove them to aid the new members in knowing who to add on their friends lists. Also remember, you must be an active member to be eligible for prizes and clan events. I will be removing more over the coming months, but have left several on the list in case they pick up activity with the release of the big fall titles.

Let's also welcome our many new members. Be sure and invite them to games when you see them online. New members be sure and send out invites to the existing clan members as you should be able to click on the GamerTag above and invite them from Xbox.com. (I would suggest you open a separate window linked to Xbox.com and be logged in to quicken the process depending on your browser.)

The roll call for October is up right now, so be sure and reply to it. The upcoming months are going to be big with several triple A titles launching. We should see several more promotions- particularly in the officer ranks as we are currently taking applications for GC of the new games ( https://sacredseven.forumotion.net/t3366-we-are-looking-for-game-commanders )

See you all online!

October 2011 Update.

We didn’t have much movement in the ranks this time around, but some of the changes were significant. I probably would have had some more, but several people are still not hitting roll call (see the note below as well).

We have started up a new clan game with the release of Gears of War 3, and with that we have some new leaders with Atrum taking the roll of the Game Captain and Puppet as his XO. Congrats to both on your appointments and promotions!

With the release of the big fall titles in progress, we have decided to retire COD: Black Ops and make room for Modern Warfare 3 along with GOW3, Battlefield, and Forza. As recognition for Security Guys help with COD:BO, he has been promoted to the honors rank of Sergeant First Class. Congrats!

I held off deleting several of the inactive members in hope they may become more active in the next month with the new game releases. Next time I will be deleting those who have been inactive for a long period of time, so if you are one of those and want to remain active- be sure and hit roll call starting at the beginning of the month. As always, being removed from the COC doesn’t mean you are removed from the clan, I’m only cleaning up the member list so we can better manage active members on our XBL friends lists. Plus, you have to be active to be eligible for prizes and clan events, and you know we will be having some kick-off tourneys for the new games soon.

The upcoming months should be good ones for S7. We have several new members, and with new games being released about every week, it’s going to be an exciting time. Veteran members be sure and add the new guys and send them friends requests, and new members add the existing guys and hit them up for invites when you see them in game (Remember- you can add members from the COC above by clicking their GamerTag and picking the “Add as a Friend” option on Xbox.com).

See you online!

Past Updates to COC Empty Re: Past Updates to COC

Post by S7 mrmiller Tue Nov 29, 2011 9:28 pm

November Update

Wow- what a busy month! Gears, Battlefield, Forza, Call of Duty, and let’s not forget the time eater that is Skyrim, all vying for playing time. Not to mention that we have several new members here and many have already made the move up out of the probationary phase to a full membership. Welcome everyone to S7!

We have also had several promotions with members taking on leadership roles in particular games, mainly the large staff for MW3. Glock has assembled a good team, and there are always members on playing COD. Be sure and fill out your friends lists and invite the S7 members to your party/games, as it’s always better running with a full team of like-minded team players.

I did remove several more inactive members from the list, so those you see here should be on your friends list and available on XBL. I will be working on updating insignias for the rest of you as soon as possible.

Be sure and check the schedule to find your favorite games particular “Game Night”. Of course we have several members playing all games most all the time, but the game night is set aside so that you know on that night you should be able and find a team of S7 members to get together and play with. Right now MW3 is the only one with an “official” practice, and that just means you need to attend an official practice if you want to play in a clan match. It doesn’t mean you can’t still be an active part of S7 if you don’t make practice, only that you are ineligible when it comes to clan match selection. It’s like being in an organized sport, and you have to make practice if you expect to see the field on game day.

Again, congratulations to all on their promotions. I hope to promote several more of our newer members after the next roll call. As a reminder- roll calls are posted at the first of the month and last a week or so. You need to hit roll call for the game you are interested in, to give the game captain a feel for the games activity and interest, as well as a headcount. You must hit roll call to be eligible for promotions, clan matches, and prizes in clan events. If you miss too many roll calls, you will be removed from the clan listing so as to keep an accurate list of active members, but not kicked from the clan (you are only considered inactive).

With winter and the holidays on the horizon, there should be several people online at varying times. Be sure and get those invites out there and let’s keep S7 rolling into the new year.

See you online.

Post by S7 mrmiller Fri Dec 23, 2011 11:06 am

December Update

Sorry for the late posting, as this had been completed for a while just not formally posted. The reason for the delay is that we were checking to see who all we were going to promote in this update. Congrats to all on their promotions, as there were several of the new members moved off of probation, and up to full member status. I would expect to see several more move up in the next roll call too. New members- be sure and try to get in games with the existing members, just sending a message asking for a invite should get you in a game. Established Members- be sure and keep sending out those invites to our newer members, as we have a lot of good and cool new people. Everyone- be sure and manage your friends list to include all the members. You should be able to click on several of the GamerTags above and get people invited directly from Xbox.com. With the last Xbox.com update, they broke the links that contain a "space". So right now all the "S7 XXXX" members or two (and three) word members are not working by direct link.

We did have one notable promotion- Congratulations to Droopy on promotion to Master Warrant Officer and accepting the potion of the clans event officer. He has been helping out the clan since our beginning, and is well deserving of the promotion.

It has been a good month, as we still have some very strong games in BF3 and MW3, not to mention the hours many have spent in Skyrim. Plus there is still a lot of action in Forza and others. There have been some Forza events, and there is a Poker night upcoming with some MW3 events on the horizon as well. It's going to continue to be a fun and active time for S7.

With the Holidays upcoming, hopefully everyone will have some time off to relax with family and friends, and maybe even squeeze some game time in. I wish you all a Merry Christmas, and here's looking forward to a great 2012 for S7.

Update- Glock figured out the problem with the links, and I have made the changes. You should be able to simply click on all the gamer tags now and add everyone from Xbox.com (I would suggest opening another window where you are logged in to xbox.com depending on the browser you are using).

Thanks Glock!

January 2012 Update

We had a pretty good turn out this month, with 51 people hitting roll call, but we didn’t have a lot of the new members reply. Remember- you must hit roll call to be eligible for promotion. Therefore, there were only a few promotions this period. Next roll call I would expect to see most all all the Privates move up to Private First Class, and Private First Class move up to Corporal. Additionally, the next roll call will end with out 2nd year anniversary as S7, and I will be expecting to see even more promotions over the next 2 months. Also there is going to be a great anniversary event as outlined here:
https://sacredseven.forumotion.net/t4054-2nd-annual-s7-anniversary-all-night-gaming-event

Ton of cool stuff and a lot of opportunity to win prizes, which brings me to my second reminder- to be eligible for prizes you must be an active member in good standing, which in turn means you must hit roll call. I will be sure and update next months COC before the tournament, so everyone will know where they stand going in.

The next month is going to be a busy one, with the Anniversary events as well as DLC for MW2. I hope to see you all online!

March/April 2012 Update

It’s been a while since I updated the COC, and even longer since I wrote up a summary. A lot has happened since then. We have welcomed several new quality members, had our 2nd anniversary as Sacred 7, Many Clan events and tournaments, and even have a new clan server for BF3 hosted by Zalacious (Contact Z if you want to help contribute to the server).

With the clan server and his dedication to BF3, Zalacious has taken the Game Captain position and the game is as active as ever. Zalacious and his officers are now listed on the COC- Congratulations and Thank You Z for stepping up and keeping the clan active in Battlefield.

We also see promotions for many of our most active long time members, as with our 2 year anniversary, they have hit 2 years of consecutive active service to the clan and are promoted up to Veteran status and the ranks of First Sergeant and Master Sergeant- Congratulations to all!

The next roll call is only days away, and I would expect to see many of our lower ranked members making upwards moves in the next update.

Also, May is going to be a busy month with the anticipated releases of Ghost Recon and Diablo 3. Ghost Recon has historically been a well-supported game for us, and many of our members got their start playing together in the GRAW games. It should be huge, so look forward to being a part of the GR:FS division as it now has its own forums section. Soon we will be taking applications for the Game Captain and looking for members to step up and lead the game- be sure and post up if you are interested!

Past Updates to COC Empty rank notes

Post by S7 mrmiller Thu Oct 18, 2012 4:23 pm

It’s been a long while since I update the ranks and posted up a review letter. The summer is always a slow time, as people are busy and there are normally not a lot of top tier games released. Now things will pick up with the fall titles releasing, and we do have some big games coming out. The big two are surely going to be Halo 4 and Black Ops 2, but there are also others to be playing like Medal Of Honor and the new Battlefield expansions. Not to mention Forza is still going strong and starting a new season, and we can also have some good competition in Madden and Poker or team up for co-op with Borderlands and Zombies.

As I took the bulk of the summer Roll Calls to make this update, there have been many updates as members have progressed up in the ranks. We have a lot of clanmates getting their Veteran and Dedicated member status as well as movement in the lower ranks. Next month we should even see more movement up the ranks, as even our “newer” members have been here a while and have shown a lot of enthusiasm and dedication to the clan. We have cleared out some of the upper game ranks as we prepare for the new games coming out. Be on the lookout for the Halo and Black Ops game officer postings soon. If you have the time to dedicate to make the games successful for the clan, be sure and apply and help us all out to keep things moving within clan.

A few notes and reminders:
-Past updates have been separated out and placed in their own thread for reference.
-New members need to add the active members in the COC to their friends list- Active members are Green or Yellow and have replied to the last couple of roll calls. You can simply click on their GamerTag here in the COC and send a friends request from Xbox.com (You might want to log into your Xbox.com account in a separate window/tab prior to make it easier).
-After missing 2 or more roll calls members are placed as inactive, and listed with a Red gamertag. While still members of the clan, they are considered inactive at their current rank.
-You must be an active member to be eligible for clan event and prizes, which simply means replying to roll call.
-Ranks are based on contributions to the clan, and can include gaming with clan mates as well as activity on the message boards.
-I removed some inactive members, and will be removing a lot more during the next couple of updates.

We will work on getting the insignias updated as soon as possible.

Let me know if you have any questions- See you online!

Past Updates to COC Empty Re: Past Updates to COC

Post by S7 mrmiller Tue Dec 11, 2012 10:25 am

I finally got around to updating the list for the November Roll call, as it’s been a busy one with the release of Halo 4 and Black Ops 2 since the last update. We already had some clan events with a tourney and the banner contest, not to mention the rush to rank up in games, attending practices, and balancing the playtime with the busy life this time of year brings.

I didn’t do too many promotions this time around, as there was a ton in the previous update. I did, however, remove many of the long time inactive members from the list. So if you are looking here and do not see your name- be sure and hit the next roll call so I can add you back.

Congratulations to GI Joe who had been promoted out of probation to a full fledged member, and I feel is going to be a great long-time clan mate here with S7. Some of the others I wanted to promote did not hit roll call and were ineligible this time around

Like I have said, it is very busy around here, and with the holidays there are sure to be more games given and received as gifts, plus some vacation and holiday times that may lend to more play time online. Keep sending out those invites and attending the practices and clan events as they roll around (the practice times are posted in the game sections). Merry Christmas to all, and I hope to see you online.

Past Updates to COC Empty Re: Past Updates to COC

We ended the year on a high note, with 50 members replying active to the roll call and good activity in Black Ops, Halo, and Forza. Now that the crazy holiday schedules are over, people will most likely settle into having more time for gaming, particularly with the onset of the winter weather. It’s a good time to make sure your friends list is up to date, and send out those invites to fellow clan mates and whip up on the Christmas Noobs.

We have had quite a few promotions this period, with several members getting there full year of activity in and moving to the Sergeant ranks. We also had some of our Private First Class members move up to Corporal, as well as a couple of the newer members passing probation and moving to PFC. We even added a few of new guys to the list. Congrats to all on their promotions!

Here’s to a strong 2013 (Reminder- the January roll call is currently up.).

Past Updates to COC Empty Re: Past Updates to COC

It’s been a while since we have updated the ranks, so there have been a ton of changes. I’ve moved most all of the active members up, to better reflect their time and activity in the clan. I didn’t denote all the changes, as there were too many, but I did mark a few of the upper ranks where there were not as many differences. I did want to point out the addition of Coolhand to the CO for his continued leadership and support of the clan. We will most likely be making more changes and updates in the months to come- so keep hitting roll call and continue the activity on the forums as well as on XBL. Congrats to all for their promotions!

The summer and fall have had their ups and downs with activity, but with the next generation of systems here, this will be a very busy time for the clan. We should have people playing on 3 different systems (Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PS4) not to mention the occasional PC game. With the release of some big and popular titles like GTA, Call of Duty, and Battlefield, there should most always be someone online to game with. Now would also be a good time to reel in some new recruits as well.

We are currently not running Game Captains for the active games, and are going to run as a “team game” like Forza. If there is a need for formal leadership to organize the game and ensure activity, we can implement it as well. Feel free to voice your thought and concerns (or applications if interested).

I look forward to seeing everyone online!

Past Updates to COC Empty Re: Past Updates to COC

A new ranking system has been implemented, as well as the ranks updated.

Check the notes here:
https://sacredseven.forumotion.net/t8072-clan-ranks-updated-with-new-system

The New Ranks/Chain of Command (COC) here:
https://sacredseven.forumotion.net/t8071-clan-coc-and-gamertag-list-new

and the New Rank Structure and System here:
https://sacredseven.forumotion.net/t177-sacred-7-clan-ranking-structure-new

Only members who have replied to a roll call in the past 6 months were included. Be sure and hit roll call and we will add you back to your earned rank (no one has to start over) and update the list. We also have not got some of the newer members on the list, but will continue to update it and get you all added in.
