Borderlands 2 freezing issue...

In case anybody is having this problem...as I am currently, Gearbox is aware of it and are working on getting us a fix.

Basically what's happened is that at every auto save the game stops for second, then when saving and the stoppage has continuously gotten longer and longer. Now, tonight, for the first time ever my game froze after it got to the point of stopping for about 5 seconds every time it auto saves. I started it back up and it froze again. They've said they know the answer and it will be addressed in the first patch, but who knows how long that will be.

have not came across that but me and tico have been having very bad frame drops .... along with a few bugs with both finks and creature slaughter dome

Unfortunately I can't even play my level 50 character now due to how frequently the game is freezing. Froze 3 times again tonight and just turned it of in frustration.

That sucks bro. So far I have not had the problem. Any idea what causes it? Is it more likely to happen to high lvl characters? Does an install to the HD help?

From what I gather it's a problem once you hit level 50 and the save file size starts getting larger and larger until it finally just gets to the point that the game has a problem reading it. I have no problem with it whatsoever on my lower characters and can still play them luckily. No, installing doesn't help, clearing the cache doesn't help. It's just a problem inherent in the code and they do plan on fixing it with a patch, but considering they haven't even said anything about a patch being sent to Microsoft I'm not planning on it being anytime soon.

Sounds similar to the bug in Skyrim. I hope they fix it soon.

Yeah, there have been people on the forums comparing it to the Skyrim bug.

That blows. Guess you will just have to slum it with us low levs for now.
