It is, I was waiting for the iphone5 but decided it would be just the same old thing with minimal upgrades. I was right, I already have the ipad 2 and ipod touch. I wanted something on par with the iphone but different. The HTC One X is more customizable. Does exactly what the iphone does but better in my opinion. The app store has many of the same apps... Beats audio which makes music sound awesome. 8 mega pixel camera 1080P pics and videos. 16gigabite memory... Huge screen bigger than the new iphone5. Gorilla glass 2 screen. Widgets that you can change and personalize, down to style, color, fonts. Face recognition unlock... Front facing camera. Watch movies, tv shows... Ice cream sandwich the newest version. I have a app that predicts what I'm going to type and automatically corrects plus remembers how I structure my sentences, or words, phrases i use often. So when I type it already has the word available to tap so I don't have to do a lot of typing. Make the jump you will not be disappointed.

Lol posted too late. One thing the iphone can't do is flash, I love being able to see Web pages the right way.
Owl, buy swift key 3 in the app store you'll love it.

Re: iPhone 5
The thing that made me hold off on buying it is that the iPhone 4 and 4s are going to get a software update with all of the new features anyways. Since my phone is in a case 24/7, the look of the phone isn't a selling point, and a bigger screen alone isn't enough to make the jump.

For me the upgrade was about the speed and graphics. The screen size is a plus the thinness is great and a big camera upgrade from my non working iPhone 4 cam its all win for me

Yeah, well... I think I did get everything working because I was able to join that Forza lobby with everyone even though I never got to race, grrrr. I've actually been thinking of upgrading my internet service so I could have better download/upload speeds though.
To Atrum:
Meh, this phone does what it needs to for me. I don't see the point in having a fancy phone right now.

You should check out the Lumia 920 when it comes out. Windows 8 might make it worth it for you. Pretty snazzy interaction between the Windows 8 phones, xbox, and Windows 8 PCs

From reading a few articles, I'd have to say that if I were to choose between Lumia and iPhone, I'd choose Lumia. Not saying that I'm going to get it as I doubt that I will be making a move to a new phone anytime soon. As I said, my Sprint LG is just what I need it for. I have no need of fancy features.

Yeah thats my future phone right there also. 5.5" inch display, android 4.1 Jelly bean, quad core exynos 1.6 ghz, lte capable. I just recently bought a Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. That thing flies it will work wonders for my job. No other phone besides the new LG Optimus G will come near to this phone. Apple didnt wow me with their new iphone5. I personally feel this is a major dissappointment. following video is for you iphanatics.

I'm loving the new map/navigation feature in iOS 6. I can finally give the GPS back to my parents, I won't be needing that anymore!

Re: iPhone 5
So I've been using my new iPhone for the last few days and ili am very pleased with my purchase. The speed alone of this phone is a huge upgrade from my 3G iPhone 4. I find I get 4g LTE reception most of the time or its 4g on the AT&T hspa band wich is still faster than 3G but LTE blows them both out of the water. The thinness and size of the phone feels great (so much lighter than the iPhone e 4, that I love that it had a heft to it). I'm going down to gist my niece and nephew today and will be taking picture of them playing soccer and just some outdoor shots maybe try out the panaromic function in ios6. Over all money well spent and I have sold my old iPhone to amazon for $144 could get more or less depending on how they value it. But for a phone I bought for $200 and use for over 2 years its all win.
End rant iPhone 5 = win.
End rant iPhone 5 = win.

Re: iPhone 5
Got the iOS 6 DL today for my 4s and so far I'm cool with the changes. I like the Passbook because it's easier for me to keep my Walgreens Balance Rewards card handy (it's really the only app for Passbook I use) so that I can remember to use I since I chose the cardless option.
I've only just stated to play with it though and was wondering if anyone else has used Passbook a bit more and knows if you can have multiple passes in it and if you can how do you switch between them. All I can get it to do is shred/delete one card and then I can move to the next one.

I haven't used it because there are not a lot of app that take advantage of the pass book yet but if you had multiple cards the stack like in this picture. Then the more you have you would just have to scroll through them.

That's how I thought it would work, kinda like the CC slots in a wallet. I guess I'll have to play around with it some more to try and load other ones on.

Re: iPhone 5
Got mine on Friday too and I am loving it. It's so fast and snappy, the camera is great (imo OC's pics don't do it justice) and it's just an overall great package.
The build quality is amazing. All aluminium and glass, so light and thin, but feels solid as a rock. I really like how lean it looks with the extra bit of length, especially as I thought that the 4/4S looked a bit 'porky'.
There's a ton of different Android phones amongst the other developers at work, HTC Ones, Samsung S3s, Notes, etc. and the feel of it in your hand just shits all over them.
You can call me an iPhone fanboy but if there is a better phone 'eco-system' out there than iPhone, App Store, iTunes, iCloud, etc. I'll eat my old 3GS.

I'm glad they've been improving the camera. Saw a video side by side comparison with a prototype lumia 920 today, iphone camera still has a ways to go.
