Armored Kill will have 5 new drivable vehicles including mobile artillery, tank destroyers and ATVs
There will be over 20 vehicle specific unlocks.
Players will be able to spawn in and fire from the all-new gunship.
We will be introducing the Tank Superiority game mode where tank pilots and infantry will have to use all their skills to control key points of the maps. More details to come!
The console player cap will stay at 24 players. Players can expect to have a great time on these maps as we are custom tailoring the new Armored Kill maps with these parameters in mind.

So, these are supposed to be HUGE maps with tons of vehicles and they're not going to increase the number of players for the consoles? Is it really that hard for the boxes and servers to handle say another 10-12 players per match?

There is also the bandwidth limitations set forth by Sony and Microsoft. To be honest I would happily forgo a few destructible buildings and non-drivable vehicles that can explode if it would mean an extra squad per team.

It's a bit lame that games like PDZ could handle 16v16 without lag issues, but newer games cannot. I understand why, you would just think that companies would invest more heavily into their servers with how big the mp is for games now.

I believe the problem is actually the exact opposite of that. Newer games are using the xbox for far more than the first wave of games, and this is causing an increase in strain on the network bandwidth.
To make larger sized games more viable they have to find a way to decrease the amount of code that needs to be sent between xbox's. Unfortunately this usually means less graphical accuracy across everyones xbox. Sure, you could have a super huge amount of players, but then you get those 'glitches' where you shoot a player and they die just right on your screen, but to the other player it looks like you missed your shots.
