Diablo 3 - Legendary Item Thread

Its turning into a running joke between KP and I about Legendary items in this game... he has put in far more into the game time/level-wise than myself and still has not had a Legendary drop for him... (Not including a page of the Black Rock Ledger which isn't exactly a Legendary but something you want to hold on to)

Yesterday, I got my 4th Legendary drop... which has made me wonder how is everyone else doing with Legendary Items?

I remember someone got the Hamburger dagger... what about everyone else? anything cool?

Found my 4th last night. One in Hell Ponies the other 3 all in Act 1 Inferno. I'll post them up later, but none are particularity good at all.

You could probably sell them for real money on the auction house. One of my friends sold a level 18 legendary for $50, absolutely rediculous. I, on the other hand, have yet to recieve a single legendary.

the only other one i have found was a par of lucan prowlers
not to bad for a mid level player but once you hit 50 there crap

Of the 4 I found, one dropped off the yellow unique flower in Hell, 1 was off a blue elite pack in inferno (going for the Nephalam globes), one off of the inferno Butcher, and one off a random skeleton in Leoric's manor on inferno.

I have the look up the names, but one is a lame Rainbow sword, one is the Monk Fist weapon that would be good early in the game, but is a level 60 item and at 60 is pretty much crap. I also have the 2-handed axe which isn't that great as most other 2H weapons do much more damage than it does, and then found the pus spitter crossbow that might be OK if you use posion damage as it gives buffs for poison but overall DPS is still low for a level 60 character.

Up to 6 Legendary items now... got a 1H Crossbow and a 2H Bow on my DH within like 10 minutes of each other

both mid level 30 items... but still cool to have..

Locations? Where are you finding your gear? What runs are you doing?

I think I'll make a new thread of the run I have been doing the past few days. No new Legendary, but finding some good stuff and it's easy enough I can were some MF Gear.

everything i've gotten has been just leveling characters... nothing special... most in Act 1 or 2

my 6 Legendary drops... and 3 things that have some other meaning....

There are 6 pages to the Black Rock Ledger (and are numbered 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42... a reference to Lost) last I've read they still can't figure out if there is another purpose to it... They think it may have something to do with the Oar which I also have....

They also have that extra text and what not.... so i'm holding on to them for now...

I have Wirt's real leg and another sword that have the extra text as well. I have kept them too- just in case. I also have a page of the ledger, and will have to check and see what # it is.

I found my first set item today- Tal Rasha's Helm. I didn't even know they could drop. I thought you had to get the plans and the blacksmith made them. I was quite surprised when I saw the "green" on the ground.

still have not had one drop and i have farmed act 1 a lot

Got mine after the Jailer, when the mob comes up the stairs at the end of the level. I guess that is my 5th Legendary, and the 2nd off just a random run-of-the mill monster. One of an Elite Trio (Blues), one off a Unique (gold), and one off the Butcher (Super Unique).

I also just found and sold my first 10 million gold item (Rare Belt). With that in the bank I upgraded my character quite a bit. I might just be ready for Act 2 Inferno now. I forget the exact stats, but the 3 big ones were something like +200 Int, +200 Vit, and 50 Resist all. Searching the AH for something similar I was surprised how much it was worth. Priced it at 10M and it sold within an hour. I probably should have asked for more- LOL.

I think I owe you 100K, that's a start. I spent it all and am now down to about half a mil. I have found some good items and put them in the AH, so hopefully by the time I get home today they will have sold and I'll be back up above a million.

Found another totally useless Legendary today. A one hand crossbow that does like 150 dmg/sec and a level 58 requirement. Seriously, who would ever use that crap?

I guess I'm getting lucky, as I found another (basically useless) Legendary item today doing my run in Act 1. I think it's the Ivory Tower shield, which had good protection, but no +str/int/dex or anything for offense.

Noooo- Must hoard all Legenday Items

Found yet another one yesterday (2 in one day = Win, 2 in 3 runs = Epic Win!) and it was more useless than the last ( / fail = FAIL). I know I shouldn't complain as I've been extremely lucky to find so many Legendary items, but shouldn't they be "legendary"? Seriously, I have not found one that anyone of the proper level would use. I'll post up some of the stats later, but it's basically a joke. The name of the game is searching for epic loot, but what they should consider epic/legendary is typically crap and not as good as the average magic or rare item.

With that being said, I have been finding a lot of rare Jewelry lately. I mean a serious amount, like 2 or 3 rares a run (basically 3 an hour). None have been particularly great, but rare jewelry sells well in the AH, specifically the rings. I guess if you are running all 3 companions you could have need for up to 8 rings compared to only needing one helmet or something, so the economy would suggest they should be more expensive.
