This worries me a lot... EA MMA was TERRIBLE... and now THQ which has made 3 solid UFC games is out of the picture... I guess only time will tell...

Halo 4 and Splinter Cell look very cool. The Microsoft press conference seemed like it went pretty well, or at least better than the last few years considering that their main focus has been KINECT KINECT KINECT. I'd like to see some multiplayer for Halo 4 to see how different it is compared to Reach.

Yeah I agree those two games looked good but nothing as good as I was expecting. Sort of blah for a big e3 conference from Microsoft.

I thought it was pretty good.
Halo 4 and Splinter Cell look great.
Tomb raider is looking fun.
Smart Glass is a pretty cool addition to the dash. Great way to start integrating Windows 8 and a good base for what the next xbox should have included.

I think everyone was hoping for new console info but it looks like that'll be next year.

Once you've played one GTA, you've played them all. They hardly ever bring anything new to the table with each addition.

Dude. Seriously? GTA III was one of the most impressive games ever made and set the standard for all sandbox games to come. No one had ever done anything even close to what they accomplished with that game. GTA III to GTA IV was a mind blowing generational leap forward and GTA IV is still one of the most technologically impressive games I have ever seen. Including new innovations like a complete suite of MP game modes set in a completely open world. If you were not impressed with GTA IV, you obviously did not play it. So I am with OC on this one. Bring on GTA V!

I have GTA4, and I played through it. Sure, it had a performance boost plus multiplayer (best and worst part)... but it still felt the same as its predecessors.

It was the only Gta I ever played. It was awesome and still is a great game. A new one will be a new world, story and all that's epic win to me.

Halo = mainly single player game with splitscreen coop/multiplayer.
Halo 2 = best online multiplayer game of its time
Halo 3 = allowed users to create their own specialized custom gametypes and maps
ODST is a downer
Reach = introduced new graphics and gameplay mechanics, Firefight mode, and even more awesome customizable gametypes and maps

Halo 2 = best online multiplayer game of its time TURE, but stress the of its TIME part Pac-man WAS best of its time too

Halo 3 = allowed users to create their own specialized custom gametypes and maps, True but still the same game and the worst ending EVER, guilty spark is the jar jar of halo
ODST is a downer, main game was pretty good
Reach = introduced new graphics and gameplay mechanics, Firefight mode, and even more awesome customizable gametypes and maps. Graphics were not that great, gameplay mechanics were weak and really not too many of them were "New".

Pretty much all halo = spawn run for the better gun/tank/warthog or whatever and then kill people die and repeat. they are all pretty much the same game since halo 2 and I'm not excited about halo 4 at all. playing the main story in all of them is awesome but that about it.

It's hard to admit it because the first Halo means so much to me but really, I don't think any of the sequels have been stand out games. They're just inheriting the legacy.

I agree. My main argument here is the changes between each Halo game are more noticable than that of GTA or CoD. Sure CoD brought zombies, but what else in the formula has been changed? Nothing. Same d@mn game every year. At least GTA doesn't have a yearly release even though that's also the same game since GTA3.

That's the point OC was making. Any game that is a sequel can be said that it is pretty much the same as it's predecessors. Halo, GTA, COD, you name it. We all get excited for different reasons over different franchises. However, of the three mentioned above, GTA has had by far the biggest overall improvements from sequel to sequel.

That said, I have a feeling that GTA V is going to be very similar to IV just with a new setting and story. I don't think it's going to be as big of a leap this time as we have seen in the past. I think it will be more similar to the difference between GTA III and Vice City. Which is to say Vice City was a much better game but used mostly the same tech.

Why I don't plan on getting it. If enough people in the clan get it and it looks like some noticable changes were made, then I might consider getting it.

I guess I'm not as big of a Halo fanboy as some of you guys. Looks neat but I'm not drooling. And I'm guessing 343 is the company taking over for Bungie?
