Far Cry 3 Beta
I just got an email from GameStop saying that those who purchase Future Soldier on its release day will get access to a closed Far Cry 3 beta. That's pretty cool because I've been thinking about getting Far Cry 3 and now I can (or should be) be able to test it out for myself to deem whether it is a good purchase.

Very cool! Wonder if pre-orders get it too? Haven't pre-ordered yet.

It just says if you purchase it on release, or if you've already paid off your pre-order. So I'm assuming that if you didn't pre-order it, but still bought it on release... then you should be able to get into the beta (i think)

Sweet, I hope it's as good as Far Cry 2.
And when I say that, I actually mean, I hope it is nothing like FC2. Seriously, that game was fun for about 4 hours, by which time, you realised that there were only about 3 missions, repeated over and over again, just with different foreigners to kill. Now, as an Englishman, I love killing foreigners but y'know, it gets to a certain point when you just get bored.
You know who would have loved Far Cry 2? Adolf Hitler.

Well... that's what every ubisoft game has been about hasn't it? Killing foreigners.

Yeah, but they aren't set entirely in a jungle. So you get to kill them in different locations.
