Guild Wars 2?

I don't think I've seen any threads on the forum that have talked about GW2 at all. It is an MMO for the PC, so maybe thats part of the problem, but I was wondering if this game has caught the attention of anybody.

For an MMO that has ZERO monthly fees and some of the most epic looking boss battles I've ever seen, it looks like a game that's worth investing in.

Considering playing it, but I probably won't. I heard the first was was great.

The first was pretty good. Although it seemed to get old after a little while, at least in my opinion it did. GW2 on the other hand looks like the kind of game that has developed a lot of cool, new interesting features and encourages teamwork

The event battles (one is in the video in first post) are in the open world, so you could literally have a hundred people fighting this boss (difficulty scales with number of people in area)... not some WoW-sh1t where you're only limited to 5 man dungeons or 25 man raids where gathering a group can be a b1tch.

I might play it, I've been getting back into PC gaming more and more due to SC2 and tbh, I kinda feel ready for a decent MMO in my life. That said, I'll drop everything when CS:GO comes out...and if it's good, things'll stay dropped.

Yeah, when I had lent my Xbox to my brother and the computer I had was a laptop that was failing, I chose to prioritize getting parts for a new computer over getting a new Xbox. So with a new, strong PC, I have started getting into PC gaming. SC2 and LoL are two games that I played the most.

I did want to play an MMO, but whenever I tried to play WoW, I couldn't stay interested for more than 10 minutes. I don't see how people still play that game...
I then tried SWTOR, but that game hasn't built up enough of a playerbase yet because it takes forever to match you up in a pvp match.
Eve Online was kinda fun surprisingly considering it is a game completely made up of spreadsheets and doesn't have the kind of action that is in other MMOs out there, but other games tend to distract me from it.
So GW2 is sort of my last hope for the MMO genre lol.

i might look into getting this wow got old for me ...

but it wont be till later this year as d3 will own me

Yeah, WoW sucks massive dick. It felt like an absolute freakin' chore to play.

Yeah ill be getting Guild of Wars 2 a good amount of local friends are picking this up.
