Just like my answer for everything....because racecar!
Why is my exhaust so loud, why do I drive so fast, why do I wash it all the time, why put so much attention into the engine, why only drive this and not a Mazda...
All because racecar!!

Re: Klown
Sorry...was there someone saying something?
Epic, you honestly have no clue what you're talking about. It's been 48 years since Ford started pushing these beasts from the line and you STILL think you know more than highly paid engineers that only know one thing..racing! You think Ford only participates in drag racing? You've never heard of The GT4 European Cup where Ford beat up on Maserati, Porsche, BMW, Aston Martin, and Nissan? You never heard of the Mustang FR500 used in this competition (which is just a tuned street Mustang)? What about the FR500C Grand Am Cup racer? You think after all these years REAL racers haven't demanded a car that corners? You think Ford would remain atop the heap if they didn't corner better than other cars? Ever heard of Ford Racing Performance Parts? You think they could charge $38,000+ for cars that don't handle well?
I will leave you in your state of delusion and hope one day you either do some original research on the topic or at least understand that you have no clue. Hearing something someone said on BBC Top Gear years ago about the 1980's foxbody mustang has nothing to do with the 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 massive Coyote V8 engine and "corner carving beast" sitting in my driveway (codename: Pegasus)
I'll leave you with a Mustang "cornering" video since you obviously just regurgitate what you hear somewhere without any true knowledge of facts. Maybe seeing is believing.

I was referring to your driving but thanks for the video of a Mustang taking corners really slowly, it really helped dispel my notions of them being bad at cornering.

Re: Klown
Yeah I know cause you're a super human badass that would have taken the corner at 160mph... there's that amazing mouth getting you in trouble again. There's a word for your thoughts and statements, it's called ignorance. But in Klown fashion, I'll just refer to it as being a dumbass.
I've literally owned, driven, and worked on more Mustangs than you've even seen in your life. Infact, I own 2 now (GT 5.0 and Roush), just traded a third (2010 GT) and technically own my daughter's V6 since I paid for it. But I should listen to your view on how the Mustang handles? There's maybe two Mustangs in all of the UK...but you know more about them and how they corner/handle than me? Sure, I've only driven one everyday of my life since I was 15, so what would I know?

I'm not claiming to be a Mustang expert, nor do I have anything against them. I've said multiple-freakin\'-times that were it not for their inconvenient size, I'd love an American muscle car. My choice of which would probably be a Mustang.
However, I have raced mustangs around a track a several times as I have lots of other cars, and in comparison, cornering is an inherent weakness. That's understandable, it's not meant to be a strength in a car like that.
And no, none of those corners were 160mph corners, as if there is such a thing (outside of F1). However, you can clearly see how sluggish the car is and how much that rear wants to kick out. Sure, cars like that are fun as hell to drive but they're just can't maintain speed/traction through corners as well as some other cars.

Re: Klown
Klown sure does talk a lot on the board about his precious Mustangs.
@ Klown - why don't you put together a Mustang on Forza and pick a track where you can show off you're beasts cornering ability. Epic can make a car too and you guys can race and see who's mouth is writing checks that their ass can't catch. You guys will probably never get to do this in real life so this is he best way I can think of to settle this.

Wrong, people bother me a lot ABOUT my Mustangs. Look the very title of this thread was "Klown" and Sticky bringing up Mustangs. I love Mustangs, always have (everyone here knows that since I've been around for years). Hey, every kid loves something when they're 8 y/o right? but mine was just something achievable. Never gave a F#ck about Benz, Ferrari, or BMW (not that I can't buy those now) just always loved the roar of the Mustang. Got a ride when I was 7 or 8 and was sat back in my seat by the power...and the rest is history!
I will race, drive, own, and repeat until I'm 93 years old and unable to drive.
Even then my kids will take me to the doctor in one.

Check and mate?
It doesn't bother me that you're to say it conservatively a HUGE Mustang fan and that you're proud of the tons of money you've poured into the many, many, many, many, many Mustangs you've owned and currently own. You remind me of a sports fan that only has eyes for their own team and no matter how good or bad their team is, the fan only sees the good in the team and can't take any criticism about the team. However, I do appreciate how good a sport you are to take all the flak we give you about your Mustang passion.

Only the body.
Atrum, Epic, and I had a conversation not long ago about people that just buy Corvette to say I drive a 'Vette. The automatic 'Vette and this abomination of a Mustang are close to the same thing.
