The Holidays and Retail

So, it's getting to be that time of year when my job consumes my soul and time. Starting this Wednesday (and going thru the end of the year) I'll be scheduled 6-day work weeks and will probably only be off on Sundays. Because I love my wife and I don't want a divorce, I spend most of my remaining time with her, therefore my time on Xbox will probably be sporadic at best. Also, there were two store managers that got fired at the end of last week and with me being on the short list (not short bus) I might be getting promoted within the next couple weeks. Hopefully this won't cause me to drop the ball with Gears, but we'll see how things fall.

In other words your whipped...the Wife is your Boss and you don't want to be fired. It's ok your not the only one lol, I like how you told yourself because I love my wife, trying to convince yourself. Lol jk. XBOX XBOX XBOX or Xwife Xwife Xwife.

Well, I will be in a similar boat. Not the wife part but I also work retail and there will be less of me online in general. There will be several nights I will have to work very late and just won't feel like getting online. Between retail and SKYRIM I would not expect to see much of me other than the occaisional part chat. Fortunately, things will be back to normal after the first of the year so it will only be a month or so of crazyness. I should be back to a more normal schedule of BF3, Forza 4 and SKYRIM in January. Till then it will pretty much be work and SKYRIM!!! (Sorry, it owns my soul, what can I say?)

I figured you'd be in pretty much the same situation Zak. I'm not sure if anyone else is still in retail but I knew from previous years that you seem to have the same forced forfeiture of time as me.

All understandable.
We'll see you when time permits....and pay no attention to Thunder he says all that but is in your same boat. Just like the rest of us here that are married.

"It's ok your not the only one lol" Didn't I say that? Actually I'm not in the same Boat, I don't work retail and I already delivered all the crap that the retail stores ordered for the holidays. It's slower at work. I also said just kidding Heellllooooooo! Klown one more thing Klown, just kidding again lol.

Hope you come out in one piece! Before my current job, I worked in retail electronics for nearly 10 years. I know how it RUINS your life.
