Assassins Creed Revelations
I wont spoil anything
Well I rented the game over the weekend and had a great time playing it. I finished the game in about 9 hours and besides the similar combat and actors, the story line itself was good and refreshing. The game suggest they will make more squeals and I have heard AC: Brotherhood and AC: Revelations were never supposed to be created. Each of these games were not part the of 3 part series instead Ubisoft decided to drag the franchise out giving small amounts of information by using Ezio multiple times. This game like all the rest has an annoying cliff hanger for all the die hard AC fans begging for more.
Overall
Pros
1) Game features a new "defend your den" After capturing a templer stronghold if you reach full notoriety one of your assassin dens will be attacked. Its a fun mini game that is a change of pace between the normal AC game.
2) The story line creative and different then usually. That is all I'm going to say without spoiling anything
3) New hook blades adds new animations and different ways of fighting and moving around the city
Cons
1) The game itself seemed rushed. This like the last game only features one city, and I would say is about half the size of AC: brotherhood Rome map.
2) side quest are sloppy and not put together well.
3) No awesome armor at the end of the game that you must have like the last 2.

Re: Assassins Creed Revelations
9 hrs. still doesn't seem like enough time. Is that no side missions and just getting to the bottom of the main story?

I might have to try these games out. I've heard from tons of people that they're good but I've never given them a try.

These are a sneaky ninja kind of game, like metal gear solid or TC splinter cell, but set in the Renaissance?

Not really. While it does have stealth portions and the need to escape an area once a crime has been committed, it is really much more action based. Generally it is fast moving and very fluid. Especially in later titles. There was a bit more stealth and planning in the first title but it has gotten faster paced and smoother as the series has grown (in a good way). Every game has been a nice improvement over the last both in terms of story and gameplay.

Re: Assassins Creed Revelations
Excellent. Maybe I'll try to get into these next summer. I'm planning on getting Skyrim for xmas and then ME3 in March, so I won't have time to get into a series right now. That and I'm going to be way too busy at work.
