Holy crap this is gonna be awesome. I think I might have to put Forza aside for a while and try to do some prestige work. I've gotta see how close I am to see which games to work on. I think that I can probably get a token from each. Hit me up if you're playing in the next week or two.

just heard that BO is going to have the final Double XP weekend to coincide with the release for the prestige tokens in MW3. I think it's freakin sweet you get a prestige token for every prestige level in MW2 and BO to work with MW3.

You can use the tokens to buy things from the MW3 shop, weapons, perks, etc. You get them from completing in-game tasks (ie. prestige). Here's a story that explains it:

A report from PR News makes a point of saying that previous versions of the Call of Duty games did not offer much incentive for using the prestige shop, but in MW3 that has all changed. Infinity Ward knew that the fans have been wanting more for some time, so it’s finally nice to see that they have listened. One of the major updates has to be the free tokens that you receive for each time that you prestige; now these cannot be spent on all things, only certain rewards.

We are still waiting for the full reward list, but we are told that some of these are 2 hours of double XP, additional create-a-class, and one of the most popular looks to be double weapon XP. However, the biggest treat comes in the way of unlocking an item from a custom class, which you can then clutch throughout the rest of the prestige level. For more details watch the video. Read our recent post, which discusses weapons, kill streaks and perks throughout Modern Warfare 3.

They're also going so far as to award tokens for ANY time you've prestiged in ANY COD game from COD 4 thru MW3. For example, if you reached 3rd prestige in COD 4,6th in WaW, 5th in MW2, 2nd in Blops, you would be credited 16 tokens for the MW3 shop. This really will make it worth prestiging now. Also, there's going to be the double XP weekend coming up to help people over the final hump to get that last prestige. And for those of us like me that hit the XP needed in COD 4/Waw/MW2/Blops to prestige but didn't because you didn't want to lose all your stuff, I now need to go in an hit the Skittle to get those "free" tokens that are waiting for me.

Thanks for the info. I'm that way too- have all my games at the top of the 1st prestige, just waiting to hit the button for one token should I choose to. Looks like I need to GF WAW to get that one, but I still have all the other games.

I figure I've got like 10 tokens or so that I'll be able to work with... I just have to remember that I won't be able to play any of the old games "for fun" because I will have raped my equipment by hitting the Skittle for all the games.

4th prestige, so I get 4 tokens. Hopefully I can make it further in MW3 than I did in BO.
