Blizzard Looking At 'Diablo-Related Concept For Consoles'

Blizzard fans will be able to play Diablo III for real one day. No one is sure of when -- that probably includes Blizzard itself -- but it's very definitely going to be playable in full at some point after today (probably after tomorrow too) on your PC and Mac. The same is not true of a console port, which the developer has been cagey about discussing. Until this year's GamesCom, that is.

Diablo III lead designed Josh Mosqueira told gathered fans the the developer's GamesCom press conference that the studio is "very, very serious" about building "the best console team at Blizzard." (via Kotaku) He added that "we're looking for programmers, designers and artists who think their dream job would be to bring Diablo to the console."

It should be noted that the possibility of a Diablo III console port was never mentioned, just that Blizzard is "exploring a Diablo-related concept for consoles." Also, Mosqueira said that, whatever it is, it's going to be "awesome."
