Just read from Gameflys/shacknews. That gow3 campaign only 11-12 hours.....weak

That's kinda like the original Halo and Gears 1 or the COD games, but most people play for the co-op, multiplayer, and horde so that's probably why they didn't put a ton into it. I just hope that the ending doesn't suck. Nothing worse than playing a three part game and having it end like crap.

That is about par for the course. I don't think Gears 1 was much more than 6-8 hours. Gears 2 was pretty close to 15-20. 11-12 is a little light but not if the quality is there and from what I hear it is. The game has been getting amazing reviews from everybody. And they all say that this is a very polish product with a better story and better MP than ever before.

Plus don't forget. This time you can have 4-player co-op, not just 2 as well as multiple playthroughs. I know I will play this story at least twice and maybe as many as 6 times by the time it is all over.

I was just hoping it would be longer, since this is the last time you get to play this crew of charcters in the gow world. Still gonna be a blast, but idk about six times playing the campaign

What is everyone upset about? Gears 1 took about 6 hours (8 on insane), got through Gears 2 in 10 hours on insane, IF gears 3 takes more than 10 hours on insane it would be REALLY long for the series. Sounds like it's going to be similar to all the others.

The Gears has a far better story than most other games. You feel like time is passing and that you're part of the world, and hence, making a difference. I've always found the length of Gears to be perfectly fine, especially when you play it on a harder difficulty.

Can't wait for horde though, with those fortifications and sh1t.

Yeah, the additional 2 co-op players should make up for a shorter story mode, since you can hang around at locust spawn spots and just spend time showboating with the new executions and such. Not to mention the upgrade to horde mode (building) and the addition of beast mode, this should make the replay value go thru the roof.

It's ok, I'll have gone through the campaign once by then and we can just start out co-op on Insane! Yay!
