Forza 3 Late Night Series - Event 4
Late Night Forza Series Continues...
And here we are, half way through the Late NightSeries. 3 down and 4 to go! We had another great turnout last week but by the time everything got going, we had to drop 2 players and the remaining 6 raced for glory. It was a terribly close tourney and truly up for grabs. But at the end of the night Wiggles took 1st followed by me (Interseptor) and Atrum in 3rd. This is the second week in a row that Wiggles has taken top honors. Someone needs to put this kid in the wall! Atrum played well and almost had 2nd place all wrapped up when I rallied from behind and took the win in the last race. Sticky did well as usual but had a couple of bad breaks. Knightowl and Coolhand both showed marked improvements and KnightOwl almost finished with an overall podium, falling just short in 4th. Things are getting interesting in the overall standings and we have a lot of close scores. No telling where this thing is going to end up. Complete season standings so far are listed below:
Interseptor - 25pts
Sticky - 21pts
Wiggles - 20pts
KnightOwl - 17pts
Dovahkiin - 11pts
Coolhand - 13pts
Atrum - 7pts
Middy - 6pts
Agent - 4pts
Droopy - 3pts
Reggie - 1pts
------------------------------------
Now with that out of the way, I am pleased to present the "I hope it doesn't Rain" Tourney!
Welcome to our 4rd Official event in the Late Night Forza Series! This will be a themed event featuring Open Top Cars. Any car will do, there are only two exceptions... 1) Must be an open top car. Completely open, NOT a rag top convertible. An example would be the Shelby Cobra or Lotus Eleven... and 2) Must be A-Class. That's it, everything else goes. Should be a blast. Now get out there and buy it, tune it and fix it up. Remember, the is a Full Contact event and pretty much anything goes .
*(no Big Bears, no driving backwards but almost everything else is ok. Further details will be discussed at the beginning of the event.).
Get to it! You have just under two weeks to build, tune and paint your car. See you on the battlefield...
Time: Midnight (Central)
Date: Friday, March 18, 2011
Maps: Random
Car Selection: Open Top Cars (only)
Damage: Simulation
Collisions: Always On
Class: A-Class
*Qualifying, if necessary, will also be with a randomly selected track. Qualifying starts at Midnight sharp, don't be late.
All S7 Members and recruits are allowed. Especially the lat night guys. Be there!

You left off Atrum on the rankings.
Sounds fun - I really haven't ever looked at what all cars are open top. Will be interesting to research the cars.

I'm with you coolhand i'm not sure what cars have open tops, going to have to do some homework for this one. If you see me on forza and want to race/tune hit me up.
Zak I love the theme's you come up with. Are these just recreations of theme's from the daytime racing series or are they just idea's you come up with? Either way they are totaly win. I have an idea to throw out there we could have an all pink mustang event, call it Pink Pony's, or an all truck event called Haul'n @ss. Just some idea's I've had, I will keep thinking about theme's to see what I come up with. Good luck and I will see you there.

Re: Forza 3 Late Night Series - Event 4
Thanks KnightOwl. Basically, the late night tourney is all about having fun so I wanted to spice it up. I am always open for suggestions and I love the pink pony idea. Don't be surprised if you see that come up later. Oh and you can thank Kenny for the current theme. He suggested it to me last week and I liked it so much I decided to use it. Basically, I just want to have fun with these. Themed races keeps things fresh, interesting and new.
As Atrum stated, normal Season Tourneys are F, E, D, C, B, A and S. Nothing fancy. Just good old fashioned serious racing. I like both and it brings a nice balance to things.

Not too serious. You know there would be more wrecks in the final lap if there was money or a big title on the line lol

Re: Forza 3 Late Night Series - Event 4
Well, there is only 1 open-top Porsche, the 550 Spyder. That is the car I am using but it is 600k. There is a Mazda for 28k for the budget minded and the Shelby Series 1 for 145k. There are also several that are more expensive as well. But for a new player, I would look at the Mazda.

Really wish I could have made it! Looks like it was a blast. I saw Battlefield LA though, definitely a good way to miss a forza night.
